Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miron Gornyakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romano S (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miron Gornyakov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Romano S!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gornyakov lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
S rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gornyakov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
S throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gornyakov.

Gornyakov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in S's half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Gornyakov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
S really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gornyakov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
S is looking to improve his position.
Gornyakov controlling the action here.
S is looking to control Gornyakov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can S avoid being mounted?
Gornyakov content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Gornyakov tries to pass the half guard into mount. S knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Gornyakov is taking a breather. S says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

We're going to have a standup here because Miron Gornyakov wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
No joy there for S, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
S throws a head kick that misses.
S misses with the combination.
S throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gornyakov.

Gornyakov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. S quickly recovers to half guard.
Gornyakov content to control rather than advance.
S keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Gornyakov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
S trying to hold on to Gornyakov's head to control him but Gornyakov postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Romano S was stalling too much, according to the referee.
S misses with a few strikes there.
S misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gornyakov bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
S tries a head kick but it misses.
S misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A decent looking cross lands there for Gornyakov.
Gornyakov ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
S throws a series of punches but Gornyakov moves out of range.

Gornyakov gets a takedown into half guard.
Gornyakov content to control rather than advance.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gornyakov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Miron Gornyakov just wasn't active enough.
Gornyakov lands a slapping body shot.
S misses with a head kick.
Gornyakov throws a one two combo.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice straight punches there by Gornyakov. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gornyakov.
S takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Gornyakov throws a shot to the body.
A head kick by S misses
and Gornyakov counters with a three punch combo that has S backing up. S nods at Gornyakov to acknowledge the strikes.


S is rocked!
S misses with the combination.
S is still on wobbly legs! Can Gornyakov finish him?
A punch combination from S misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miron Gornyakov dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


That kick from Gornyakov tenderised S's leg. S is trying to keep his angry face on.
S seems to have recovered his senses.
S walks forward, straight into a front kick from Gornyakov.
Gornyakov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on S. That did some damage!
Miron Gornyakov is winning the standup battle so far.
S throws the kick towards the body but Gornyakov avoids it.
Gornyakov is on the wrong end of a nice combination from S.


It looks like Miron Gornyakov has been cut.
S slips a jab and a cross from Gornyakov.
Gornyakov lands with a good body shot.
Romano S is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gornyakov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gornyakov moves out of range of the body kick from S.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Gornyakov. S shrugs it off though.
Gornyakov throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
S throws a head kick but Gornyakov moves out of range.
S on the wrong end of a nice hook.
S misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gornyakov throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Gornyakov lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
S drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
S avoids the head kick by Gornyakov.
Gornyakov jabs at S's body.
Gornyakov punishes S's body with a nice straight punch.
S is breathing heavily.
Gornyakov lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

S has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gornyakov.
S moves in looking to clinch but Gornyakov pushes him off.
S throws a lazy head kick
and Gornyakov counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Gornyakov throws a good cross that connects.
Gornyakov throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Donk. Gornyakov catches S right on the button with a cross.
S takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gornyakov scores with a jab.
Gornyakov lands a jab to the head.
Gornyakov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
S misses with a body kick.
Gornyakov cracks the inside of S's front leg.
S misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gornyakov connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gornyakov is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - S is in big trouble! Gornyakov is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking S. Poor guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Miron Gornyakov!
Miron Gornyakov decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
