Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mister Kviser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Todd Bauer!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bauer throws a sloppy head kick and Kviser moves out of range easily.
Bauer throws a lazy uppercut
and Kviser connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bauer throws an overhand right that lands on Kviser's shoulder, as Kviser tries to avoid the shot.

Kviser scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Kviser is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bauer is just riding it out for now. Kviser eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Bauer is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Bauer lands a nice looking body kick.
Kviser takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Bauer thows a body shot but no joy.
Bauer tries to bum rush Kviser with a series of wild strikes but Kviser uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bauer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bauer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kviser uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bauer.

Kviser fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bauer to the ground. Kviser is now in Bauer's guard.
Bauer wants to stand and escape but Kviser is having none of it.
Kviser wants to control from the top but Bauer keeps moving.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Bauer is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Bauer wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kviser goes for a takedown attempt but Bauer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bauer lands with a slapping head kick.

Kviser closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bauer circles away.

Kviser chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bauer can pounce on him.
Kviser on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kviser takes a kick to the side of the head.


It looks like Mister Kviser has been cut.
Kviser takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kviser moves out of range as Bauer throws a body kick.

Bauer throws a sloppy head kick and Kviser moves out of range easily.
Bauer lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Kviser feints and as Bauer raises his hands in defense, Kviser changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bauer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kviser. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bauer manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Bauer is breathing heavily.

Kviser tries for a takedown but Bauer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bauer misses with a straight left.
Bauer stuffs the takedown.
Kviser shoots for a double leg takedown but Bauer sprawls well. He's pushed Kviser's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bauer does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Bauer throws a sloppy head kick and Kviser moves out of range easily.

Kviser has a takedown stuffed.
Kviser changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bauer tries to avoid it but Kviser manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bauer to the ground. Bauer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kviser shoots in for a double leg but Bauer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Nice takedown defense from Bauer. No joy for Kviser on that attempt.
Todd Bauer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bauer throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Todd Bauer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bauer tests Kviser's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Bauer lands a big right hand that sends Kviser crashing to the mat! Bauer stays standing though and waves Kviser back to his feet!

Todd Bauer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Bauer lands a left and a right that send Kviser crashing to the mat, dazed. Bauer thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bauer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kviser looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bauer is fending him off so far but Kviser persists. Nope, Bauer circles away and we're back to standing.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bauer lands a left and a right that send Kviser crashing to the mat, dazed. Bauer thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Kviser is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kviser slips a jab and a cross from Bauer.
Bauer cracks Kviser's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Kviser slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Bauer can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Todd Bauer!
An out of breath Todd Bauer thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
