Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Iain Durrant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karel Gil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gil has chosen Darude - Sandstorm as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Iain Durrant! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Karel Gil! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gil lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Durrant shoots for a double leg takedown but Gil sprawls well. He's pushed Durrant's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Gil lands with a cross.
Durrant is rocked! Durrant looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Oh Durrant is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd cheers as Gil lands an impressive looking overhand right. Durrant doesn't seem phased though. Gil misses with a series of wild punches.
Gil throws a series of punches but Durrant moves out of range. Gil jabs at Durrant's body. Durrant wants to clinch up but Gil keeps it at a distance. Durrant seems to have got his legs back now. Durrant shoots in for a double leg but Gil sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Iain Durrant. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gil drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gil tries to move into full mount but can't pass Durrant's legs. Gil cracks Durrant with a big right hand but Durrant just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's one minute gone in the round. Durrant tries to improve position but can't. Gil controls the position. Durrant tries to improve position but can't. Gil taking a breather here. Durrant tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gil wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gil taking a breather here.
Despite being in the dominant position, Karel Gil just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Durrant swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Gil counter with a right hand. Gil scores with a jab to the head.
Gil thuds a left hand into Durrant's body. Gil throws a shot to the body.
Left hook, right uppercut from Gil. Durrant with a lazy takedown attempt and Gil counters with a right hand to the body. Durrant is breathing heavily. Good shot there by Gil.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durrant closes the distance but Gil moves to the side and Gil counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Gil lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Durrant shoots and misses enabling Gil to counter with a crisp jab. Durrant looks up at the clock. Bad move! Gil lands a right hand from hell, dropping Durrant. Gil pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karel Gil! Karel Gil is the new featherweight champion!
