Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Neil Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Go Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the ring accompanied by Re-Education (Through Labor). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.

Smith has gone for a leg lock! Yamamoto slips out almost immediately though and dives into Smith's guard.

Smith has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Yamamoto is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Smith.

Horrible takedown by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Yamamoto which made him look bad.
Smith feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
