Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Haka Maka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maricue Russel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maka comes to the cage accompanied by Island Music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maricue Russel!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maka looking to score a takedown here. Russel is defending well but Maka drives through and ends up in Russel's guard.
Maka lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Russel keeping moving, preventing Maka from controlling successfully.
Maka trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Russel is trying to keep Maka in close.
Maka stands and steps away. Russel gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Maka throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Russel tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Maka is in Russel's guard.
Maka works over Russel with some ground and pound from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Maka trying to control but Russel is working from the bottom.
Russel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Maka gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Maka drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Russel manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Maka has Russel in his guard.

Maka utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Russel looking to improve position, pressing down on Maka's thigh with his hand. Maka seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Russel paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Russel's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Maka picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
