Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rostam Samani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Sin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Rostam Samani has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rostam Samani seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rostam Samani! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Sin! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samani looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Sin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Samani moves away. Sin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A combination from Sin does no damage. Samani's corner calls for a 1-2. Samani obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Samani throws a nice outside leg kick. Samani tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Samani somewhat. Sin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Samani. Samani closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Samani lands in his opponent's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Samani tries to free his leg and advance position but Sin is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Samani sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sin's guard. Sin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sin. Sin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Samani trying to control but Sin is working from the bottom. Samani postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Samani stopping the sweep attempt from Sin. Samani throwing strikes but missing. Sin keeping moving, preventing Samani from controlling successfully. Samani throws a strike but Sin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Samani looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Samani is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Samani is working hard here to advance position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Samani is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Sin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Samani. Sin won't allow Samani to pass to mount. Samani is looking to stall here but Sin recovers full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rostam Samani dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sin tests Samani's chin there with a solid looking shot. Samani checks a leg kick nicely. Samani throws a big shot that misses. Sin misses with a lunging right hand
and Samani counters with a body kick that stops Sin in his tracks momentarily. Sin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sin throws a right hand that Samani ducks under and follows up with a left that Samani also avoids with ease. Samani shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sin sprawls well. Sin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Samani gets slowly back to his feet. Sin misses with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sin throws an overhand right that lands on Samani's shoulder, as Samani tries to avoid the shot. Sin takes one to the side of the head.
Sin moves forwards but Samani connects with a nice, crisp jab. Sin throws a solid leg kick but Samani takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sin. Sin throws out a loose jab but Samani uses good head movement to avoid it. Tim Sin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Samani fakes the leg kick and cracks Sin in the body. Samani fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Rostam Samani is winning the standup battle so far. Samani has a takedown stuffed. Sin throws a shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Samani tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sin was well out of range. Poor timing from Samani. Sin thumps Samani with a low kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Samani looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sin is fending him off so far but Samani persists. Nope, Sin circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rostam Samani. That's going to take a lot out of him. Samani cracks a nice hook into Sin's ribs. Samani throws out a leg kick but Sin moves out of range and Samani only half commits. Sin tries to move into range but Samani moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Sin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Samani. Sin throws a jab but it's blocked by Samani. Samani uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sin has time to react. Samani lands a nice shot to the body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Samani.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A chopping leg kick lands by Samani. Samani lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. A solid leg kick lands there for Samani.
Samani throws a leg kick that is checked and Sin counters with a thumping low kick. Samani takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A nice inside leg kick there by Samani. That's going to slow Sin down. Samani uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sin. Samani keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Samani cracks the inside of Sin's front leg. Samani tries to land a leg kick but Sin saw it coming and moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Samani. Sin does a little dance to reset his feet. Samani throws a right hand that Sin ducks under and follows up with a left that Sin also avoids with ease. Samani misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sin.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Samani tries to bum rush Sin with a series of wild strikes but Sin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Samani connects with a solid leg kick. Samani cracks Sin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rostam Samani dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Sin avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Samani pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sin is out of range and Samani settles back down. A punch lands to the side of Samani 's head but he takes it in his stride. A big right from Samani misses. Sin takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Samani loads up on a big right hand but Sin slips the punch. Sin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Samani throws a push kick but Sin slaps the foot to one side. Samani ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sin moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Samani wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Sin checks a leg kick. Sin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Samani. That did some damage! Sin throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Samani shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sin as he avoids it easily. Samani has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sin circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A leg kick checked by Sin. Samani ducks under a wild hook from Sin. Sin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Samani. Sin scores with a sloppy right hand. Samani should have avoided that one. Samani works Sin's body with a nice hook. Samani misses with a kick to the body and Samani takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Samani walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sin checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Samani slips a straight right by Sin. Sin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Samani. Samani connects with a leg kick. Sin looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Samani buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Samani lands the left hand. A slapping leg kick lands for Samani.
Sin's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Samani throws a leg kick which misses Sin's front leg but catches the back leg as Sin tries to avoid it. Samani turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Sin misses with an uppercut. Samani saw that one coming. Samani uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sin. Samani scores with a nice right hand.
Sin tries to move into range but Samani moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Rostam Samani is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Samani scores with a leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sin scores with the left hand. Samani knows he should have avoided that one. Samani is looking to clinch but Sin is avoiding it.
Samani displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sin throws out the jab. A big left from Sin misses. Sin misses with a lunging right hand
and Samani makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Samani swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Sin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Samani. Sin walks into a straight right hand from Samani. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Samani tries to clinch up but Sin circles away and keeps his distance. Tim Sin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sin misses with an uppercut. Samani shoots in but Sin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rostam Samani. Well Samani has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
