Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Purple Aki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenpachi Zaraki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aki kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Slim Whitman - Indian Love Call. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaraki scores with a leg kick.

Aki scores with a hook to the body. Zaraki takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Zaraki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Aki walks away with a smile on his face. Zaraki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Aki lands a leg kick that knocks Zaraki off balance momentarily.
Aki feints and then cracks Zaraki's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Zaraki down.
Zaraki misses with a body shot.

Zaraki connects with a crisp jab.
Zaraki throws a head kick but Aki moves out of range.
Aki cracks Zaraki with a good jab.
A slow jab from Zaraki misses its intended target.
Aki fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Zaraki has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Zaraki throws a body punch but Aki moves out of range.
Aki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Aki fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Zaraki throws a sloppy body shot
and Aki counters with a leg kick.

Zaraki moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kenpachi Zaraki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zaraki throws a jab but it's blocked by Aki.

Aki displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zaraki throws out the jab.
Aki missing with a left hand there. Zaraki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Aki lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Zaraki plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Zaraki throws a head kick but Aki moves out of range.
Zaraki cracks Aki with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Aki takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Zaraki is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Aki.

Zaraki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Aki.
Aki moves in looking to clinch but Zaraki pushes him off.

Aki comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Aki throws a sloppy head kick and Zaraki moves out of range easily.
Zaraki throws out a leg kick but Aki moves out of range and Zaraki only half commits.
Zaraki thuds a left hand into Aki's body.
Purple Aki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Zaraki is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Aki avoids a kick to the body.
Zaraki chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Aki lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
A head kick misses from Aki.

Aki throws a lazy head kick
letting Zaraki counter with a right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Aki blocks a head kick by Zaraki.
Zaraki jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Aki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zaraki paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Zaraki misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A swing and a miss from Zaraki.
Zaraki misses the shot to the body.
Aki moves out of range of the strikes.
Zaraki looks to land a right hand but Aki moved out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Aki lets loose with a powerful body kick. Zaraki will feel that in the morning.
Aki lands a nice shot that snaps Zaraki's head back.
Aki tests Zaraki's chin there with a solid looking shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Purple Aki dominated that round.

Zaraki tries to land a front kick but Aki steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Aki closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Aki has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Aki lands a left hand.
Aki goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Aki stalls.
Aki scores with a hook to the body.
Zaraki looking to slow down the pace here.

Zaraki misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Aki lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Zaraki is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Aki cracks Zaraki on the chin with a massive knee! He's been separated from consciousness before he even hits the floor! Absolutely fantastic knee and a brutal finish!
