Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cam Kran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Mote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Mote will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cam Kran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Mote! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kran shoots and misses and Mote counters with a nice leg kick. Kran misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kran closes the distance and clinches up with Mote, looking for a takedown. Kran pushes Mote against the cage but Mote circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cam Kran. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown by Kran or perhaps it was just good defense by Mote which made him look bad. Kran shoots in for a double leg but Mote sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kran shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mote pinned against the cage. Mote gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kran drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Kran trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kran throws a big elbow that misses. Kran stands and throws Mote's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kran sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mote is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Check out the look on Kran's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Mote takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Kran tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kran has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kran prevents Mote from escaping the position. Kran misses with the ground and pound. Kran fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Mote really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kran. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kran in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Kran could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mote regains half guard, as Kran was trying to land strikes. Mote is looking to escape. Kran not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kran thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mote's head. Mote blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kran. Kran has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Mote defend it? Kran steps over the head and cranks it - Mote is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kran!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Cam Kran!
