Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Trejo Ricardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Riker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trejo Ricardo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Will Riker!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riker has a takedown stuffed.
Ricardo looks to land a combination but Riker avoids it well.

Riker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ricardo parries the strikes from Riker easily there. Riker is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Ricardo to escape.

Riker tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Riker has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ricardo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Riker is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ricardo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Ricardo wants to get back to his feet but Riker drags him back down.

Riker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ricardo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ricardo is pushing Riker's head away, looking to escape. Riker manages to hold on to the position though.

Riker is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ricardo's shoulder. That is not cool.

Ricardo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ricardo wants it to stay on the feet.

Ricardo works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Ricardo is pressed up against the cage. Riker has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ricardo down to the mat. Ricardo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Riker closes the distance and clinches up with Ricardo, looking for a takedown. Riker pushes Ricardo against the cage but Ricardo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ricardo stalks Riker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Riker's face. Riker staggers backwards, shaken.
Riker fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Riker shoots in for a takedown but Ricardo shows good takedown defense.
Riker closes the distance and clinches up with Ricardo, looking for a takedown. Riker pushes Ricardo against the cage but Ricardo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ricardo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Riker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Riker gets tackled into the cage by Ricardo. Ricardo maintains the clinch.
Riker drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ricardo gets the underhooks and prevents it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Riker can't get the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Will Riker will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Ricardo throws a nice looking combination but Riker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Riker shoots for a double leg takedown but Ricardo sprawls well. He's pushed Riker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Riker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ricardo's waist but Ricardo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Riker off to one side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Riker shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ricardo sprawls well. Ricardo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Riker gets slowly back to his feet.

Will Riker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Riker postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Riker sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Ricardo is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Riker goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ricardo rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Riker's guard! Nice work there by Ricardo!
Ricardo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Ricardo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Riker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ricardo has managed to get both his arms back between Riker's legs - danger averted.
Ricardo tries to stand but Riker is controlling from the bottom.

Ricardo wants to stand and escape but instead Riker has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Riker drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Riker as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Ricardo screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Riker! Nice submission victory there!
