Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dmonray Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malapitan comes to the cage accompanied by My Time is Now. Stone is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Boom. Dmonray Malapitan has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dmonray Malapitan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samuel Stone!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malapitan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Stone has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Malapitan is working away from the top position though.

Malapitan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Stone is not content to let Malapitan control the position.
Stone blocking the ground and pound attempt from Malapitan.
Malapitan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Stone is trying to control but can't.
Stone is refusing to be controlled, as Malapitan sits in half guard.
Malapitan is taking a breather. Stone says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Malapitan is looking for a kimura here.
Malapitan is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Stone reverses the position - he's now on top in Malapitan's guard.

Malapitan wants to get back to his feet but Stone is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Stone stands and steps away. Malapitan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

A telegraphed right hand from Stone misses the target.
Stone closes this distance looking for a takedown but Malapitan circles away.
A head kick misses from Malapitan.
Stone misses with a wild combination.
Malapitan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stone.
Samuel Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stone shoots for a double leg takedown but Malapitan sprawls well. He's pushed Stone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Stone misses with a left hand
and Malapitan counters with a three punch combo that has Stone backing up. Stone nods at Malapitan to acknowledge the strikes.
Stone throws a nice looking combination but Malapitan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Malapitan shoots in and bounces Stone off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stone avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stone is on top in guard.
Malapitan controls Stone momentarily but Stone frees himself.
Malapitan wants to stand but Stone is controlling the position.
Malapitan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Stone preventing the sweep.
Malapitan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Stone!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Malapitan tries to control but Stone wriggling away.
Stone is desperately trying to improve his position but Malapitan has a good base and remains in mount.
Malapitan looking to control but Stone is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Malapitan moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Stone has worked his arm free - good work by Stone!
Stone is looking to regain half guard here but Malapitan keeps moving and retains side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Malapitan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Malapitan working the strikes but Stone uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dmonray Malapitan dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Stone scoring well with a low kick there.
Stone tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Malapitan swivels and escapes.
Malapitan throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Stone looks to land a combination but Malapitan avoids it well.
Malapitan throws a head kick but Stone moves out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stone is defended easily by Malapitan.

Stone drives through and clinches with Malapitan against the cage.
Stone working hard to break the clinch.

Stone pulls guard effortlessly.
Malapitan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stone is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Malapitan chips away with some ground and pound.

Malapitan wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving.

Stone throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Malapitan tries to free his leg and advance position but Stone is retaining full guard.
Malapitan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Malapitan passes Stone's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Stone is looking to improve his position.
Stone is in trouble now - Malapitan has advanced to mount!
Malapitan lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Malapitan looking to control but Stone is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Malapitan lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Stone hang on?

It looks like Samuel Stone has been cut.

Stone is bucking up trying to escape but Malapitan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Malapitan wants to control the pace but Stone is squirming around nicely.
Stone seems to have recovered his senses.

Dmonray Malapitan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Stone is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Malapitan lands a big elbow.
Stone takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Malapitan's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
