Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William McGraw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dylan Fournier! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGraw shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fournier keeping moving, preventing McGraw from controlling successfully. McGraw slips nicely into half guard. McGraw is just content to waste time from the top position. Fournier takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. McGraw could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Fournier looking to sweep here. No luck so far. McGraw trying to control the position from guard on top but Fournier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fournier trying to keep a closed guard but McGraw is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGraw wants to pass the guard but Fournier is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fournier keeping moving, preventing McGraw from controlling successfully.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. McGraw shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Fournier wants to control but McGraw is having none of it. Fournier regains half guard. Fournier has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McGraw is working away from the top position though. Fournier kicks McGraw off and gets back to his feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Fournier looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fournier drives through with a takedown into guard. Fournier pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McGraw is keeping the position for now. McGraw is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McGraw is looking for a triangle but Fournier pushes his legs off easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Fournier blocking the ground and pound. Fournier is desperately trying to improve his position but McGraw has a good base and remains in mount. Fournier regains half guard. McGraw trying to control the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. McGraw wants to work for an arm triangle but Fournier is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Fournier tries to get to full guard but McGraw has control of the leg. McGraw is controlling the pace.
Fournier looks like he's trying to stand up.
McGraw trying to advance position but Fournier counters by regaining guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that William McGraw will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Fournier gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and McGraw counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. McGraw trying to control the position from guard on top but Fournier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McGraw sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fournier's guard. McGraw is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Fournier is not content to let McGraw control the position. Fournier wants to get back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGraw trying to control from Fournier's half guard. Fournier has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Fournier manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
BOOM! Fournier connects with a massive shot to the dome!
McGraw can't escape the position.
Fournier manages to capitalize on a mistake by McGraw to take his back! McGraw tries to escape but Fournier has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Fournier controls the position. McGraw looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGraw rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

McGraw is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fournier trying to control but McGraw is working from the bottom. McGraw looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGraw is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fournier trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McGraw has his foot on Fournier's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fournier works his way back into a safe position though. McGraw bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fournier's guard. Fournier lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McGraw! Fournier working for a guillotine from mount but McGraw is in no mood to give up. Fournier can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McGraw is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fournier lands a big shot there that rocks McGraw but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Fournier thowing shots but they're missing. McGraw regains half guard. Fournier content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. McGraw is looking for a sweep. Fournier is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
William McGraw dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
McGraw circles away from the clinch attempt and McGraw counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fournier's guard now. McGraw wants to control from the top but Fournier keeps moving. Fournier is looking to stand up but McGraw isn't so interested in that idea. McGraw is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fournier is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fournier has escaped and now he's on top! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fournier is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGraw is trying to control the position but Fournier postures up. McGraw wants to sweep but no luck. Fournier trying to control the position from guard on top but McGraw is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fournier forces his way into half guard. McGraw looking for subs from the bottom but Fournier mounts him! McGraw is trying to reverse the position but instead Fournier has taken his back - oops!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Fournier biding his time, controlling McGraw. McGraw turns into Fournier and is now in his guard.
Fournier not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fournier looking to hit a scissor sweep but McGraw is one step ahead there. McGraw thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. McGraw passes into half guard. McGraw gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Fournier tries to get back to half guard but can't. Fournier is looking to work his way out of this bad position but McGraw is controlling him well. Fournier regains half guard. Fournier gets back to full guard.

McGraw trying to control the position from guard on top but Fournier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fournier lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McGraw! McGraw can't escape the position.
Dylan Fournier has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fournier is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. McGraw can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to William McGraw. Well McGraw has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
