The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Cruz buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ortiz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Cruz! Ortiz is out on his feet! Cruz rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Ortiz is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Ortiz is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
