Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fredrick Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Enis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fredrick Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Curtis Enis!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheers as Silva lands an impressive looking overhand right. Enis doesn't seem phased though.

Silva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Enis is trying to defend but Silva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Silva is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Enis blocking the ground and pound attempt from Silva.
Silva thows a huge punch but Enis dodges it nicely.

Silva postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Enis to stand up.

Silva has Enis up against the cage in a clinch.
Silva drops down looking for an ankle pick but Enis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Enis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Enis with a lazy takedown attempt
and Silva counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Enis is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Enis's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Silva connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Enis scrambles back to his feet.
Enis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Silva counters with a right hand to the body.
Fredrick Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Curtis Enis.
Enis looks winded!
Silva lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Silva lands a head kick!


It looks like Curtis Enis has been cut.
Silva throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silva forces Enis back against the cage and clinches.

Enis is fighting off a takedown attempt but Silva is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Enis to the mat. Enis regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silva scoring with some ground and pound.
Silva throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Silva postures up and lands a big shot to Enis's brow.
Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Silva working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Silva trying to control but Enis is working from the bottom.
Enis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Enis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Silva has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Enis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silva defends well.
Silva wants to stand but Enis has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva tries to stand but Enis is controlling his head.

Silva decides to stand back up.
Enis takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Silva digs a good body shot into Enis's ribs.
Enis misses with a takedown attempt
and Silva counters with a one-two to the body.

Silva has Enis up against the cage in a clinch.
Enis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Silva walks away with a smile on his face. Enis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Silva looking to score a takedown here. Enis is defending well but Silva drives through and ends up in Enis's guard.
Enis keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully.
Silva lands a couple of digs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Enis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Silva stacks Enis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Silva!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Enis keeps working.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Enis sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Silva looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Silva is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Enis!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fredrick Silva dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Curtis Enis's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Silva turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Enis is looking to sinch up a triangle. Silva throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Enis's body to avoid the submission. Enis has instead reached around Silva's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Enis arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Curtis Enis!
After winning the bout, Curtis Enis thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
