Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Draven Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Spencer!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas closes the distance and clinches up with Spencer, looking for a takedown. Lucas pushes Spencer against the cage but Spencer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Spencer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The fighters circle momentarily. Spencer darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Spencer moves into range and connects with a jab.
Spencer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lucas.
Lucas fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Spencer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Draven Lucas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lucas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Spencer just stands there and leans against the cage.

Spencer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lucas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Spencer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lucas takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Spencer works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Spencer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Spencer wants it to stay on the feet.

Spencer blocks a head kick by Lucas.
Lucas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Spencer is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Lucas had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Lucas wants to clinch up but Spencer keeps it at a distance.

Spencer leaves Lucas with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lucas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spencer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lucas somewhat.

Spencer throws a right and a left that both miss.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Spencer lands a slapping body shot.
Spencer catches Lucas with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Lucas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Spencer counters with a crisp one two that drops Lucas! Spencer thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lucas to his feet! Lucas is in big trouble!
Oh Lucas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spencer scores with a hook to the body. Lucas takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Spencer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lucas gets cracked there but stands up to it.

and Spencer scores with a counter punch that sends Lucas to the canvas! Spencer smells blood - he's punishing Lucas with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Lucas has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
