PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bk bk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiraphon Jr Phuttharaksa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phuttharaksa has chosen TP outro as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thiraphon Jr Phuttharaksa!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bk fails in his attempt to clinch.
bk circles away from the clinch attempt.
bk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Excellent takedown into side control there by bk.
bk throws a strike aimed at the side of Phuttharaksa's head but Phuttharaksa avoids it well.
The strikes coming from bk are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Phuttharaksa sneaks out the side door and pushes bk away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
bk misses with a double jab.
bk tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Phuttharaksa counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

bk pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

bk has managed to clinch.
bk is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Phuttharaksa wants to take the fight to the mat but bk manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

bk has hold of one of Phuttharaksa's legs. Phuttharaksa is fighting the takedown attempt but bk gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Bk bk wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Phuttharaksa gets a double leg takedown into bk's guard.
bk is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Phuttharaksa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Phuttharaksa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Phuttharaksa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Phuttharaksa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Phuttharaksa tries to free his leg and advance position but bk is retaining full guard.
bk tries to strike from the bottom.

Phuttharaksa is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! bk is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! bk has escaped and now he's on top!
bk wants to control from the top but Phuttharaksa keeps moving.
bk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Phuttharaksa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Bk bk wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

bk shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than bk was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
bk wants to control the pace but Phuttharaksa is squirming around nicely.
bk in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

bk is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Phuttharaksa is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Phuttharaksa flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. bk anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Phuttharaksa and secures both hooks! This could be bad! bk slips an arm under Phuttharaksa chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. bk has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. bk is squeezing on Phuttharaksa like an anaconda would it's prey. Phuttharaksa fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
