The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobretti ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pierre Paul fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cobretti manages to avoid it.
Cobretti fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Pierre Paul is out of range.
Pierre Paul changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cobretti tries to avoid it but Pierre Paul manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cobretti to the ground. Cobretti escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cobretti throws a low kick but Pierre Paul moves out of range easily.

Cobretti shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pierre Paul napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Cobretti has hold of Pierre Paul's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pierre Paul manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
