Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Cross struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 187.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Jason Cross will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross misses with a takedown
and Jackson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cross's guard.
Cross should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cross has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Cross's legs - danger averted.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jackson connects with a nice short shot to Cross's temple.

Jackson lands a big elbow - Cross is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Jackson!
