12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lars Larsen! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Larsen misses with a straight left. Shimazu checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Larsen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Shimazu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Shimazu pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Larsen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shimazu moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nice straight punches there by Larsen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Larsen. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Shimazu avoids the elbow strike from Larsen, against the cage.

Lars Larsen dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Shimazu. Larsen misses with the combination.
Shimazu moves away from the strike by Larsen. A punch combination from Larsen misses. Shimazu scores with a push kick. Shimazu looks to score with a jab to the body but Larsen is just out of range. Larsen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Shimazu. Larsen takes a shot right to the bread basket. Shimazu ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
