Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Prucha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mike Duss! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duss fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Prucha sprawls well initially but Duss persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Prucha tries to get to full guard but Duss has control of the leg. Prucha keeping control of the position. Prucha has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Duss is working away from the top position though. Prucha is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Duss pulls his head out easily. Duss is looking to advance position but Prucha won't allow it. Duss escapes and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prucha fails with an attempt to clinch.
Duss looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A momentary lapse in concentration from Prucha enables Duss to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Prucha manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Prucha keeping moving, preventing Duss from controlling successfully. Duss sitting in guard, not really doing much. Prucha has Duss pulled in close to control his posture. Prucha is trying to control the position but Duss postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Duss throws a right hand that Prucha ducks under and follows up with a left that Prucha also avoids with ease. Prucha blocks a head kick by Duss.
Prucha tried to score with a low kick but Duss checks it. Duss drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Prucha is looking for a sweep. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Duss creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Prucha sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. An elbow from Duss crashes against the mat.
Prucha wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Prucha really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prucha regains half guard. Prucha is trying to get back to full guard. Duss is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Prucha is breathing heavily. Duss postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Prucha looks a forlorn figure.
Duss throws some wild stikes that Prucha manages to avoid easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duss fails to move to back control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Duss thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Duss sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Duss wants to take Prucha's back but he can't do it this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Duss dominated that round. That's time! Prucha's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Duss. Duss tries to close the distance and clinch but Prucha swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Duss shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Duss works his way into side control. Duss stands up and we're back to a striking position. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Prucha.

Duss attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Prucha throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Duss tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Prucha is in Duss's guard. Duss trying to control the position.
Duss looking to hit a scissor sweep but Prucha is one step ahead there. Prucha postures up and lands a big shot to Duss's brow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prucha wanted to stand there but Duss had control of the position. Duss is controlling Prucha's posture. Prucha throws a big elbow that misses. Prucha wants to stand but Duss has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Prucha trying to control the position from guard on top but Duss is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Prucha tries to clinch there but Duss circles away.
Duss misses with a low kick.
Prucha throws a right and a left that both miss. Duss misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Prucha fails with an attempt to clinch.
Daniel Prucha is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Duss misses with a low kick.
Duss throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The fight stays on the outside here - Prucha looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duss clinches. Duss swings wildly with an uppercut but Prucha uses good head movement to avoid it. Prucha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Prucha throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Duss thows a body shot but no joy. Duss shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Prucha manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Duss throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Duss showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Duss wants to clinch. Duss darts in and clinches Prucha up against the cage. Duss tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Prucha smiles and moves away.
Prucha pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Duss has Prucha up against the cage in a clinch.
Duss breaks from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duss is looking to clinch but Prucha is avoiding it.
Prucha just misses with a punch to the body.
Prucha throws a sloppy head kick and Duss moves out of range easily. Duss looks for a takedown but Prucha sprawls well. Prucha closes this distance looking for a takedown but Duss circles away. Duss looks to score with a jab to the body but Prucha is just out of range. Prucha closes the distance looking to clinch and Duss counters with a nice body shot. Prucha pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mike Duss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duss shoots for a double leg takedown but Prucha sprawls well. He's pushed Duss's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Daniel Prucha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Duss. Prucha blocks a jab. Prucha wants to clinch. Prucha throws a sloppy head kick and Duss moves out of range easily. Duss throws a jab when Prucha was well out of range. Duss gets in close and instigates a clinch. Prucha wants to break free but Duss has control.
Duss is trying to pull guard but Prucha turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prucha dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Prucha prevents a takedown attempt there.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Prucha has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Duss is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Duss manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Duss wants to hit a switch here but Prucha passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Duss there! Mike Duss has got the better of the ground game so far. Duss is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Duss takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duss is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Prucha looking to finish with strikes here!
Duss tries to lock up and control but Prucha gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Daniel Prucha has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mike Duss is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Prucha landing strikes, looking to finish!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Mike Duss. Well Duss has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
