Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Clayton Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dragon has chosen Taio Cruz-Dynamite as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Clayton Nogueira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Dragon! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nogueira throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dragon tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nogueira is in Dragon's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Nogueira drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dragon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dragon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dragon! Nogueira is looking for a sweep. Nogueira regains half guard. Dragon prevents Nogueira from improving his position. Dragon trying to control from half guard but Nogueira is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nogueira regains full guard. Nicely done. Dragon trying to control but Nogueira is working from the bottom.
Alex Dragon has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Nogueira drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Dragon wants to stand up but Nogueira is controlling him. Dragon looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dragon looking for a sweep. Not yet Dragon, not yet. Dragon has Nogueira pulled in close to control his posture. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Nogueira looking to sit in guard and control but Dragon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Nogueira keeping moving, preventing Dragon from controlling successfully. Nogueira wants to sweep here but Dragon controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dragon wants to control from the top but Nogueira keeps moving. Nogueira can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dragon controls the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alex Dragon. Nogueira is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Dragon. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Dragon lands with a right hand. Dragon tries to work over Nogueira's front leg with a kick but Nogueira checks it. Alex Dragon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dragon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nogueira doesn't seem bothered though. Dragon lands a jab to Nogueira's midsection. Dragon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Dragon swings for the body but Nogueira moves out of range.
Nogueira on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dragon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nogueira feints and as Dragon raises his hands in defense, Nogueira changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Alex Dragon will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Dragon swings for the body but Nogueira moves out of range.
Nogueira decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dragon makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dragon. Dragon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nogueira looking to pass the guard. Dragon tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dragon is on top in guard.
Dragon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nogueira on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nogueira tries to get out of the position. Dragon advances position into side control! Nogueira is not content to let Dragon control the position. Dragon looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nogueira is not content to let Dragon control the position. Dragon is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Nogueira regains half guard there - taking advantage of Dragon's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nogueira is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Dragon jumps into side control! Nogueira tries to buck Dragon off but Dragon is having none of it. Nogueira avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Dragon. Dragon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nogueira is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dragon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nogueira keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dragon might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nogueira kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Nogueira tries to buck Dragon off but Dragon is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Dragon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Dragon lands a jab-cross combination. Nogueira shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nogueira was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Dragon is trying desperately to improve position. Dragon tries to lock up and control but Nogueira gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Nogueira is working for a guillotine from mount but Dragon frees his head quite easily.
Dragon wants to control but Nogueira is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dragon is wriggling around trying to escape.
Nogueira jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Dragon is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Dragon and Nogueira has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nogueira tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Dragon wants to control but Nogueira postures up. Dragon is looking for a sweep. Dragon manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Nogueira prevents Dragon from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dragon controlling the position well. Alex Dragon is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Dragon looking for submissions off his back. Nogueira prevents Dragon from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dragon manages to get to full guard.
Alex Dragon has got the better of the ground game so far. Dragon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Nogueira has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dragon keeping full guard, as Nogueira tries to pass. Dragon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Alex Dragon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dragon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
