Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joseph McLain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chan Sung Jung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joseph McLain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chan Sung Jung!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sung Jung shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sung Jung was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Sung Jung with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Sung Jung throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Sung Jung takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
McLain tries to control Sung Jung's body but Sung Jung pushes him off. McLain squirms to his side and now Sung Jung has his back!
McLain trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

McLain defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Sung Jung's arms.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sung Jung is riding his opponent, not letting McLain buck him off.

That's one minute gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on McLain's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
McLain avoids the strikes from Sung Jung.
McLain tries to roll but Sung Jung sticks to his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sung Jung somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
What can McLain do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Sung Jung throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Sung Jung biding his time, looking for the opening.
Sung Jung punches the canvas rather than the man.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sung Jung controlling the position well here. McLain rolled but Sung Jung kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Sung Jung is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! McLain is tapping out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Chan Sung Jung!
