Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
21 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Spartan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Warwick Davis!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spartan lands with a good body shot.
Davis thows a body kick. Spartan tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Davis throws a low kick but Spartan avoids it.
Matt Spartan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spartan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Davis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Spartan throws a hook to the side of Davis's head but Davis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Spartan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Davis looks to land a body kick but Spartan moved away.
Davis shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Danga de danga de dang - Davis scores with a four punch combination!
A low kick from Spartan is predictable there
and Davis counters with an inside leg kick.
Spartan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Spartan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Davis's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spartan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Davis is keeping the position for now.
Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spartan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spartan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spartan cracks Davis with a solid left hand.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Spartan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Spartan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Davis's head.

Spartan lands a couple of elbows.
Davis can't keep his opponent in guard - Spartan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Davis slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Spartan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Spartan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Spartan's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Davis has momentary wrist control but Spartan slips an elbow through the middle.
Davis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Spartan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Davis is trying to keep Spartan in close.
Spartan lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Spartan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Spartan dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Davis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Spartan on the side of the head.
Spartan misses with a takedown attempt - Davis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Davis moves forwards but Spartan connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Spartan connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Davis tumbling to the canvas! Spartan pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Davis was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Matt Spartan!

Matt Spartan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
