Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milo Winner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by Jamiroquai - Deeper Underground. Winner has chosen Ain't No Sunshine as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Milo Winner! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Winner manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Winner circles away from the clinch attempt.
Winner shoots for a double leg takedown but Diaz sprawls well. He's pushed Winner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Diaz moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Diaz tries to clinch but fails miserably and Winner counters with a nice double leg into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Winner is fighting to break Diaz's control of his arms but Diaz is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Diaz wants to stand and escape but Winner is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Winner with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Winner being controlled here momentarily. Diaz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Winner manages to get himself to full guard.
Diaz wants to get up but he can't break Winner's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Diaz gets to his feet. Winner looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Diaz gets a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Winner keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Winner working for a triangle but Diaz defends it easily.

Diaz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Winner's guard. Winner looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Diaz frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Diaz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Winner is looking to escape.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Winner has given up his back. Will we see Diaz going for some submissions?

Winner looking for a guillotine here but Diaz defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Winner keeping full guard, as Diaz tries to pass. Diaz stands and throws Winner's legs to the side, diving into side control. Diaz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Winner gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Winner actively working from the bottom here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Diaz decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Diaz throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Winner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Winner throws a big elbow that misses. Winner wants to pass the guard but Diaz is keeping the position. That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Winner blocks it with crossed arms. Diaz using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Winner has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Winner is looking to take this one to the mat. Diaz looking to throw knees to the head but Winner is blocking nicely.
Diaz is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Winner is keeping busy. Winner is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Diaz pulls him back up using the underhooks. Diaz landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Winner turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Winner is breathing heavily. Diaz can't do much from the bottom here. Diaz tries to improve position but can't. Winner is trying to get an arm triangle but Diaz is defending well. Winner throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Winner with the ground and pound but Diaz regains half guard under the barage of strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Winner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Winner is looking to work some ground and pound but Diaz has wrist control. Winner trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Winner being controlled here momentarily. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Winner with a flurry of punches that miss.

Diaz is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Winner defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. This has been an exciting period of action! Winner staying busy and making it hard for Diaz to control. Winner defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Diaz's arms. Diaz is working hard here to advance position. Diaz is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Winner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diaz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Winner avoids it really well and circles away. Diaz fails to land the takedown. Diaz wants to clinch but Winner slips to the side and Winner counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Diaz's guard now. Winner throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Diaz trying to keep a closed guard but Winner is proving a slippery customer.

Diaz wants to clinch up but Winner keeps it at a distance. Winner's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Diaz connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Winner scrambles back to his feet. Diaz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Winner, pushing him back against the cage. Winner can't get the takedown.

The crowd cheers as Diaz lands an impressive looking overhand right. Winner doesn't seem phased though. A momentary lapse in concentration from Winner enables Diaz to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Winner manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Diaz would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Diaz advances to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diaz has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Diaz wants to take his opponent's back but Winner doesn't allow it. Milo Winner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Winner throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
And that's the end of the fight! Jose Diaz showed his dominance in that final round. Well Diaz has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
