Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Deridder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Hise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hise has chosen Amazing as his entrance music. Jesse Hise has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Deridder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jesse Hise! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hise looks to throw the jab but Deridder is out of range. Deridder closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hise wants to get back to full guard but Deridder has mounted him! Hise is wriggling around trying to escape.
Deridder avoids the attempt from Hise to control. Deridder controlling from the full mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hise keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hise blocking the ground and pound. Hise tries to hold on but Deridder postures up. Hise tries to reverse the position but Deridder maintains control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hise wants to control but Deridder is having none of it. Hise is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Deridder trying to control but Hise is having none of it. Deridder has control of Hise's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hise regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hise is desperately trying to improve his position but Deridder has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hise is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Deridder is standing up, even though he is in mount. Excellent takedown into side control there by Deridder. Hise is looking for a sweep. Deridder trying to control the position but Hise is working away. Hise prevents Deridder from improving position. Deridder decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hise to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hise misses with a body shot.
Hise looks gassed! Deridder tries to clinch but Hise is having none of it. Hise uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Deridder. Deridder shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hise is trying to stand back up but Deridder is controlling him
Hise is trying to control but can't.
Deridder missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Hise is trying to stand.
Hise throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Deridder is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Deridder stops Hise from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Deridder shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hise as he avoids it easily. Hise closes the distance and clinches. Hise lands a left hand.
Hise gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Deridder avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Deridder had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hise is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Deridder Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hise's back instead. Hise holding both Deridder 's hands and preventing any damage. Hise is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Deridder dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Deridder tries to clinch and Hise moves into the clinch. Hise breaks the clinch.
Hise swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No luck for Hise with that takedown attempt. Hise is looking to clinch but Deridder is avoiding it.
Hise throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Deridder's waist but Deridder gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hise off to one side. Hise tries to clinch but Deridder moves out of range. Deridder scores a takedown into full mount! Deridder thowing shots but they're missing. Deridder punching from mount but Hise doing a good job of avoiding damage. Hise is breathing heavily. Deridder throwing strikes here but Hise is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Hise is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Deridder thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Deridder controlling from the full mount. Deridder stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Deridder keeps the fight on the outside. Deridder closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Deridder lands in his opponent's guard. Hise not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Deridder gets to his feet - Hise follows without any prompting. Hise gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Deridder wants to control from the top but Hise keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hise lands some strikes from the bottom. Hise not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hise manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Deridder manages to get himself to full guard.
Hise really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Deridder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hise wanted to stand there but Deridder had control of the position. Hise wants to control from the top but Deridder keeps moving. Hise pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Deridder is keeping the position for now. Hise throwing strikes but missing. Hise trying to control but Deridder is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deridder is working an open guard so Hise takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Deridder tries a head kick but it misses.
Hise with a lazy takedown attempt and Deridder counters with a takedown into side control. Joe Deridder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Hise. Deridder remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Deridder trying to control the action but Hise is working from the bottom. Hise gets back to half guard. Hise blocking the ground and pound attempt from Deridder.

Hise is looking to stand up but Deridder isn't so interested in that idea. Deridder decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Deridder dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Deridder fails to land the takedown. Deridder fails with the takedown. Deridder shoots in for a takedown but Hise shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Deridder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Deridder fails in his attempt to clinch. Deridder shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hise as he jumps to the side. Joe Deridder is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hise gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hise manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Hise wants to stand but Deridder is controlling the position. Deridder controls from within his opponent's guard. Hise looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Deridder stopping the sweep attempt from Hise. Hise wants to get back to his feet but Deridder is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Joe Deridder overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Deridder circles away from the clinch attempt.
Deridder shoots for a takedown but Hise saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hise moves in looking to clinch but Deridder pushes him off. Hise tries to clinch up but Deridder circles away and keeps his distance. Deridder throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A combination from Hise does no damage. Hise shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Deridder counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hise won't be happy with that. Hise wants to get back to his feet but Deridder drags him back down. Hise is looking for a sweep. Hise tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Deridder easily slips into full mount! Deridder looking to control but Hise is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Deridder blocks Hise's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hise squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Deridder takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hise sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Deridder prevents Hise from standing back up.
Hise regains full guard. Nicely done. Hise is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Deridder wants to control from the top but Hise keeps moving. Hise looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Deridder wants to control from the top but Hise keeps moving. Deridder throws a big right hand that misses. Hise is looking to stand up but Deridder isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Deridder scores a takedown into full mount! Hise is wriggling around trying to escape.
Deridder throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Hise is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Hise is working to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Joe Deridder showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Deridder, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
