Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Brady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip Pirrup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pirrup has managed to clinch.
Brady pulls guard successfully.
Brady is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Pirrup postures up in Brady's guard and throws a big left but Brady blocks it.
Pirrup is pushing down on Brady's leg trying to pass to half guard. Brady is fighting to maintain full guard but Pirrup has managed to sneak the leg through.
Pirrup looks to land a strike but Brady avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Pirrup stays in close to Brady's body and controls the position.
Pirrup throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Pirrup wants to control from the top but Brady keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pirrup misses with a takedown attempt - Brady sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Brady feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pirrups jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Brady closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pirrup to the mat! Pirrup manages to get full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pirrup lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Brady down.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Brady regains half guard there - taking advantage of Pirrup's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Pirrup looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brady with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Brady wants to get up but he can't break Pirrup's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Pirrup working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brady doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brady manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
