Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leon Bridges! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Meldrick Tyson! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson scores with a nice right hand.
Tyson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Bridges dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bridges misses the shot to the body. Tyson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bridges is able to avoid easily. Bridges takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Bridges throws a hook but Tyson avoids it easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bridges. Tyson misses with a leg kick. Nice sprawl there from Tyson as Bridges shoots in. This has been an exciting period of action! Tyson tried to score with a low kick but Bridges checks it. Bridges on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyson leaves Bridges with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leon Bridges. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bridges on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Tyson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Bridges shoots in for a double leg but Tyson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bridges is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tyson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Tyson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tyson connects with a leg kick. Bridges looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Bridges looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tyson is fending him off so far but Bridges persists. Nope, Tyson circles away and we're back to standing. Tyson is looking to slow Bridges down with leg kicks. Bridges will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bridges is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bridges shoots in for a takedown but Tyson shows good takedown defense. Meldrick Tyson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bridges looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tyson is fending him off so far but Bridges persists. Nope, Tyson circles away and we're back to standing. Tyson throws a quick inside leg kick. Tyson stuns Bridges with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Tyson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Tyson connects with a high kick. Tyson throws a quick inside leg kick. Bridges chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tyson can pounce on him.
Tyson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Bridges misses the body punch and Tyson counters with a thumping low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bridges's sensitive parts. Tyson slips under a jab. A slapping body kick lands there for Tyson. Tyson throws a leg kick but Bridges checks it. That kick from Tyson tenderised Bridges's leg. Bridges is trying to keep his angry face on. Bridges avoids a punch combination nicely.

Tyson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bridges.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Bridges chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tyson can pounce on him.
Tyson gets a clinch. Tyson with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Stalling in the clinch from Tyson.
Bridges misses with a punch to the body.
Bridges is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Bridges throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Bridges misses with a hook to the ribs.
Tyson breaks the clinch.
Bridges misses with an uppercut. Bridges lands a body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bridges misses with a left hand and Tyson counters with a head kick that drops Bridges to the mat! Bridges scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! Tyson throws a nice outside leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Meldrick Tyson dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bridges shoots in for a double leg but Tyson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bridges fails with the takedown and Tyson counters with a thumping low kick. Tyson throws out a leg kick but Bridges moves out of range and Tyson only half commits. Bridges tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tyson swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leon Bridges. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tyson throws a low kick, looking for Bridges's leg but Bridges calmly moves out of range. Tyson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bridges closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tyson's guard. Bridges throws a strike but Tyson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Tyson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bridges swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bridges has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bridges is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tyson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bridges swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bridges is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bridges keeping moving, preventing Tyson from controlling successfully. Bridges is trying to control the position but Tyson postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Bridges looks for a takedown but Tyson sprawls well. Tyson thows a body kick. Bridges tries to catch it but that hurt him. Tyson lands a big head kick that sends Bridges tumbling to the mat! Tyson takes a step backwards and waves Bridges back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Bridges is rocked!
It looks like Leon Bridges has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tyson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Oh Bridges is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Bridges tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tyson was well out of range. Poor timing from Bridges. Tyson sends Bridges crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Tyson is motioning to the referee to let Bridges up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Bridges throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tyson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Tyson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bridges manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tyson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Tyson defending well as Bridges loads up on a big left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Tyson throws an overhand right that drops Bridges like a sack of potatoes! Tyson dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
