Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pieter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Griffin swivels and escapes.
Pieter tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Griffin fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Pieter is out of range.
Pieter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Griffin misses with the combination.
Griffin lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Pieter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Griffin defends it nicely.

Pieter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Griffin walks away with a smile on his face. Pieter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Griffin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pieter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Griffin tries to avoid it but Pieter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Griffin to the ground. Griffin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pieter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Griffin misses with a looping right.
Pieter shoots for a double leg takedown but Griffin sprawls well. He's pushed Pieter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Pieter dives in and grabs Griffin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Griffin pushes down on Pieter's head and hops out.
Griffin throws a lazy right hand but Pieter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Griffin throws a solid leg kick but Pieter takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Griffin.
Griffin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Griffin moves into the clinch successfully.
Griffin goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Griffin throws a punch but it's blocked by Pieter.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Griffin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Griffin tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pieter's elbow.
Griffin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Griffin prevents the takedown attempt.

Griffin misses with the head strike.
Pieter is working for takedown but Griffin is calmly controlling the position for now.

Griffin throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Griffin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Pieter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Griffin is trying to defend but Pieter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Still in half guard, Pieter seems content to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Parker Griffin dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Pieter shoots in looking for a takedown. Griffin tries to sprawl out of it but Pieter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Griffin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Griffin feints a jab promting Pieter to slip. Griffin then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pieter slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Griffin stuns Pieter with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Parker Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griffin is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Pieter moves out of range as Griffin strikes.

Griffin rushes Pieter and presses him up against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Griffin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Griffin.
Griffin throws a punch but it's blocked by Pieter.
Pieter is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Pieter jumps guard but Griffin turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Griffin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Pieter backwards.

Griffin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice takedown defense from Griffin. No joy for Pieter on that attempt.
Griffin doesn't manage to clinch there - Pieter circles away.
Pieter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Griffin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pieter somewhat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Griffin closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Oh Pieter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Griffin connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Pieter! He's out on his feet! Griffin rushes in and drops Pieter with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
