Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shaun Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexi Takala!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Johnson scores with a hook to the body. Takala takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Johnson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Takala gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Takala has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Johnson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Takala tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Johnson is pressed up against the cage. Takala has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Johnson down to the mat. Johnson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Johnson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Some bone on bone action there as Takala checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown but Takala manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Johnson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Johnson throws a body punch but Takala moves out of range.
Johnson throws a shot from downtown. Takala moves away and avoids it.
Takala moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off.
Johnson lands a two punch combo.
Johnson connects with a looping right hand.
Takala tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Takala takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The fighters circle momentarily. Johnson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Takala is rocked!
Johnson cracks Takala with a left hook right on the temple and Takala goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Johnson lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Takala is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Shaun Johnson!
