Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Fred Foot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Crickmay!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crickmay bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Foot is looking for a sweep.

Foot sneaks out the side door and pushes Crickmay away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Foot gets caught napping as Crickmay dives in and scores a takedown. Foot manages to retain guard.
Foot is trying to control the position but Crickmay postures up.
Foot on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Foot tries to get out of the position.
Foot is adopting a defensive guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Crickmay wants to control from the top but Foot keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A decent looking cross lands there for Crickmay.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Foot tries to score a power double leg takedown but Crickmay sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Foot somewhat.

Crickmay tries to clinch but Foot is having none of it.
Alex Crickmay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crickmay misses with a takedown attempt - Foot sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Foot counters with a single leg into guard. Crickmay didn't expect that.
Foot won't allow Crickmay to sweep him here.
Crickmay controls Foot momentarily but Foot frees himself.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Crickmay shoots in and drives through. Foot sprawls well.

Crickmay closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Crickmay is trying to break free.
Crickmay tries for a takedown. No joy.
Fred Foot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Crickmay.

Crickmay tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Foot smiles and moves away.
Crickmay throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

and Crickmay counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Crickmay gets to his feet. Foot looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Foot with a poor takedown

and Crickmay counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Foot!
Foot is breathing heavily.
Foot is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Crickmay has taken his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alex Crickmay dominated that round.
That's time! Foot's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Crickmay throws the kick towards the body but Foot avoids it.
Foot really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Crickmay is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Foot postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Foot passes Crickmay's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Foot perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Foot is pressing down on Crickmay's thigh, looking to free his foot. Crickmay is holding on for now.

Foot takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Foot shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Foot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Crickmay on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Crickmay looking to control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Crickmay shoots in but Foot avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Crickmay takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Foot gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Foot works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Crickmay keeping moving, preventing Foot from controlling successfully.
Crickmay can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Foot controls the pace.
Foot advances position into side control!

Foot tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Foot has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Crickmay tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Foot wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Foot wants to lay and pray for a moment but Crickmay keeps working.
Crickmay manages to get back to half guard.

Foot controlling the action here.
Crickmay moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Foot postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Crickmay is looking to stand up but Foot isn't so interested in that idea.
Crickmay is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

And that's the end of the fight!
Fred Foot showed his dominance in that final round.
