Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

21 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gegard Zaromskis!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vegata swings widly with a right hand
and Zaromskis counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Antonio Vegata has been cut.
Vegata throws a shot from downtown. Zaromskis moves away and avoids it.
Vegata misses with a series of wild punches.
Vegata jabs at Zaromskis's body.
Zaromskis throws a head kick but Vegata moves out of range.
Zaromskis defending well as Vegata loads up on a big left hand.
Vegata lands a glancing blow to the side of Zaromskis's head.
Vegata feints a jab promting Zaromskis to slip. Vegata then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Zaromskis slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Zaromskis is looking to clinch but Vegata is avoiding it.
Zaromskis clinches up with Vegata and pushes him back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vegata has had enough of the clinch but Zaromskis keeps him there for the moment.

Zaromskis lands with a short shot to the head.
Vegata's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Vegata shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Zaromskis defends it nicely.
Zaromskis throws a lazy right hand but Vegata sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Zaromskis looks to land a body kick but Vegata moved away.

Vegata changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zaromskis tries to avoid it but Vegata manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zaromskis to the ground. Zaromskis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vegata fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zaromskis avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Vegata. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Vegata throws a jab but it's blocked by Zaromskis.
Vegata throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zaromskis's waist but Zaromskis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vegata off to one side.
Vegata shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Vegata showed some decent athleticism there.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Zaromskis is trying to get back to full guard.

Vegata working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Zaromskis tries to kick Vegata off but Vegata keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Vegata is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Zaromskis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vegata.

Vegata postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zaromskis has his foot on Vegata's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vegata works his way back into a safe position though.
Zaromskis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Vegata is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Vegata wants to control from the top but Zaromskis keeps moving.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vegata is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters circling - Vegata throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Zaromskis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vegata looks for a takedown but Zaromskis sprawls well.
Vegata sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Vegata got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zaromskis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vegata has managed to get both his arms back between Zaromskis's legs - danger averted.

Vegata cracks Zaromskis with a big right hand but Zaromskis just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
