Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alphons Draclau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jik Chuyhn Jyu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
18 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alphons Draclau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
20 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jik Chuyhn Jyu!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jyu smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Jyu does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A low kick from Draclau is predictable there
and Draclau takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jyu avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jyu has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Draclau.
Draclau throws a low kick but Jyu moves out of range easily.

That kick from Draclau tenderised Jyu's leg. Jyu is trying to keep his angry face on.

Draclau throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jyu throws a push kick but Draclau slaps the foot to one side.

A jab lands there for Jyu.
Jyu takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
A clash of legs there as Jyu blocks the low kick.
Draclau tries to clinch but Jyu moves out of range.

Draclau throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Alphons Draclau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters circling a little - Draclau finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Jik Chuyhn Jyu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fighters circling - Draclau throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Jyu counters with a slapping leg kick.

Draclau thows a body kick. Jyu tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Draclau shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Draclau was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Draclau prevents Jyu from getting the reversal.

That's time! Draclau's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Draclau tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jyu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jyu throws a half hearted mid kick.
Draclau thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Jyu if he has to take too many more of those.
Draclau lands a nice shot to the body.
Draclau closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Jyu moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Jyu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jyu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Draclau can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Alphons Draclau overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jyu has his foot on Draclau's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Draclau works his way back into a safe position though.

Jyu tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Draclau has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jyu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Draclau tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jyu was well out of range. Poor timing from Draclau.
Jyu tests Draclau's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jyu has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Some bone on bone action there as Jyu checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Draclau fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jyu.
Draclau throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jyu sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jyu connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jyu bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Draclau's head.
Draclau shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jyu is trying to defend but Draclau finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Draclau is looking for a kimura but Jyu is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Draclau to get the leverage.
Draclau is stalling here. Jyu is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Draclau seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jyu has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alphons Draclau.
Well Draclau has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
