Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Boss Castro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kip Pur ! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Pur or perhaps it was just good defense by Castro which made him look bad. No luck for Pur with that takedown attempt. Pur slips a jab and a cross from Castro.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Castro lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Pur has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Pur and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Castro tries to score with a low kick but Pur moves his leg out of the way. Castro lands a front kick. Castro tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Castro connects with a solid leg kick. Castro scores with a nice head shot. Castro connects with a right hand. Pur shakes it off. Pur takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Pur misses with a takedown attempt and Castro counters with an outside leg kick.
Boss Castro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kip Pur . Pur is trying hard to land a takedown here. Castro sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Pur takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Castro scores with a shot to the body.
Castro fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Castro misses with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pur with a poor takedown and Castro counters with a straight right hand. Castro scores with a hook. Pur has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Castro. Pur looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Castro is fending him off so far but Pur persists. Nope, Castro circles away and we're back to standing. Castro cracks Pur with a good jab. Pur sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Castro misses with a double jab.

Castro closes the distance and pushes Pur back into the cage. Castro lands with a short shot to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A nice right hand lands inside from Castro. Pur is trying desperately to land a takedown but Castro is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Pur . Pur prevents a body shot from Castro. Castro scores with an uppercut up the middle. Pur changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Castro fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Castro ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Castro scores to the head and body with a nice combination! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pur . Pur tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Castro swivels and escapes. Castro defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pur . Castro has closed the distance and engaged Pur in a clinch.
Pur has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Castro after a bit of a struggle. Castro scores with a shot to the side of Pur 's head. Castro misses with a hook to the ribs.

Castro lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Castro struggles to land a body shot inside as Pur controls his hands.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Castro lands a nice uppercut. Castro prevents a takedown attempt there.

Boss Castro dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pur looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Castro! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Pur seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Castro is holding on tight.
Castro wants to control but Pur is having none of it. Castro working to try and regain half guard.

Pur is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Castro is surviving well by controlling Pur 's body position as best he can. Castro is looking to improve his position but Pur isn't that keen on the idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pur working for a guillotine from mount but Castro is in no mood to give up. Pur goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Castro turns into him and now he's in Pur 's guard.
Castro decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Pur shoots in looking for a takedown but Castro manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pur 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Castro throws a shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pur . Boss Castro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kip Pur . Pur gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Castro. Castro lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Castro. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Castro takes a swing at Pur 's ribcage but misses. Castro throws a series of strikes that have Pur backpedaling.
Castro stuffs the takedown. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pur is defended easily by Castro. Pur needs to keep his hands up - Castro had a free shot at his head there. Castro throws a leg kick but Pur sees it coming and checks it nicely. Castro digs a good body shot into Pur 's ribs. Castro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Castro wants it to stay on the feet. Pur drives through with a takedown into Castro's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Pur is breathing heavily. Castro wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pur missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Castro keeping moving, preventing Pur from controlling successfully. Castro pulls Pur in close to his closed guard and prevents Pur from doing any damage or advancing position. Pur drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Castro dives on top into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pur has a closed guard, preventing Castro from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pur looking to hit a scissor sweep but Castro is one step ahead there. Castro wants to stand but Pur is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Castro gets to his feet. Pur looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Castro tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pur shoots in for a double leg but Castro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Castro misses with a body shot.
Pur shoots in looking for a takedown but Castro manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pur 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Pur shoots and misses and Castro counters with a body kick. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Castro.

Castro throws a jab when Pur was well out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Castro throws a body kick that misses. Boss Castro dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
An inside leg kick lands from Castro. Castro throws a right and a left that Pur avoids nicely. Castro circles away from the clinch attempt.
Castro is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pur can do to turn this around? Pur tries to score a power double leg takedown but Castro sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pur somewhat. Boss Castro is winning the standup battle so far. A left lands for Castro. Castro connects with a solid leg kick. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pur crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Castro - the referee stops the clock and Pur gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Castro. Pur manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. No luck with that takedown attempt from Pur . Pur looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Boss Castro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kip Pur . A decent looking cross lands there for Castro. Pur takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Castro lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Castro stuffs the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pur fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Castro scores with a spinning back kick! Castro misses with a head kick.

Castro is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Pur blocks a head kick by Castro.
A slapping leg kick lands for Castro.
Pur has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Pur tries to clinch but fails miserably and Castro counters with a good low kick that Pur was not able to check. Castro cracks Pur with a good jab. A decent looking body kick lands there for Castro. Pur has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Castro. Castro throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pur 's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Castro throws a head kick that half lands.

Boss Castro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Castro connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pur 's hands. Castro fakes the leg kick and cracks Pur in the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pur chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Castro can pounce on him.
Pur shoots in for a double leg but Castro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. An inside leg kick lands from Castro. Castro misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pur .
Pur gets tackled into the cage by Castro. Castro maintains the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Castro. Castro lands a hook to the side of the head. Castro is pressed up against the cage. Pur has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Castro down to the mat. Castro avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Pur closes this distance looking for a takedown but Castro circles away. Pur sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Castro throws a nice looking combination but Pur bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kip Pur is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Castro throws a leg kick which misses Pur 's front leg but catches the back leg as Pur tries to avoid it. Pur drops his hands momentarily and Castro takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Pur has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castro bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Castro misses with a low kick.
Pur misses with a takedown and Castro cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Castro lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Pur backs up against the cage.
Castro slaps away a takedown attempt from Pur , before circling back to the center of the mat. Castro chopping away at his opponent's legs.
The fighters circle momentarily. Castro darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Castro delivers a nice body kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Castro throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Pur steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Castro. That one must have hurt. The fighters circle momentarily. Castro darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Castro throws a sloppy head kick and Pur moves out of range easily. Kip Pur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Castro lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pur looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Pur takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Castro scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Castro scoring well with a low kick there.
Castro paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Castro clinches up against the cage. Castro scores with a shoulder strike. Castro has Pur pushed against the cage. Castro lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Pur backwards. Boss Castro has scored more points in the clinch so far. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Stalling in the clinch from Castro.
Kip Pur has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Castro lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Pur or not.
And that's the end of the fight! Boss Castro showed his dominance in that final round. Well Castro has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
