The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dominguez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sampaio as he jumps to the side.
Dominguez does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Dominguez gets the takedown into side control.
Dominguez postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Dominguez looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Sampaio is avoiding damage well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dominguez tries for a kimura but Sampaio is defending well.
Dominguez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Dominguez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sampaio knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Dominguez is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Sampaio looks calm but he's in trouble here. Dominguez gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Sampaio is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Dominguez lets go of the hold and Sampaio can pop his arm back in it's socket.
