Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Macena lands but Lion takes it in his stride.
Lion tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Macena swivels and escapes.
Lion tries to score a power double leg takedown but Macena sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lion somewhat.
Macena throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lion defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Macena.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lion is defended easily by Macena.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Macena goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lion rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Macena's guard! Nice work there by Lion!

Lion has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Horrible takedown by Lion or perhaps it was just good defense by Macena which made him look bad.
Macena feints a jab promting Lion to slip. Macena then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lion slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
