Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Magni Turisas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ham Xu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turisas comes to the cage accompanied by Manowar - Gods Of War. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ham Xu enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Magni Turisas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ham Xu! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turisas tries to clinch but Xu is having none of it. Turisas has taken the fight to the clinch.
Xu jumps into guard, dragging Turisas to the mat.
Turisas wants to stand but Xu has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Xu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Turisas wants to get up but he can't break Xu's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Turisas stopping the sweep attempt from Xu. Turisas wants to stand but Xu is controlling his posture from full guard. Xu looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Turisas puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Xu can do anything to dispel that myth. Xu missing with punches from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Xu drives through with a takedown into guard. Xu tries to free his leg and advance position but Turisas is retaining full guard. Xu landing some decent shots from guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Xu scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Xu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Xu missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Xu prevents Turisas from getting back to his feet. Xu drops back looking for a leg! Turisas is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Turisas manages to kick Xu off! Xu jumps back into Turisas's guard. Xu prevents Turisas from getting back to his feet. Turisas keeping moving, preventing Xu from controlling successfully. Xu is looking to work some ground and pound but Turisas has wrist control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Xu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turisas is fending him off so far but Xu persists. Nope, Turisas circles away and we're back to standing. Ham Xu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Xu tries to move into range but Turisas moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Xu moves forwards but Turisas connects with a nice, crisp jab. Turisas stuffs the takedown. Xu swings away with a leg kick that misses. Xu looks gassed! Xu fails to land the takedown. Magni Turisas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ham Xu. Xu gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Xu throws a leg kick but Turisas sees it coming and checks it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turisas wants to clinch up but Xu keeps it at a distance. Xu tries to clinch but fails miserably and Turisas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Xu has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Turisas finds it's way round the side to connect with Xu's head. Xu walks into a straight right hand from Turisas.
Xu is rocked! Turisas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Xu is still on wobbly legs! Can Turisas finish him? Xu dodges the punch combination from Turisas.
Xu tries to keep at a distance but Turisas has taken the fight into the clinch. Xu seems to have recovered his senses. Xu goes for a takedown in the clinch but Turisas prevents it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Turisas lands a body shot. Xu drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Turisas gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Still in the clinch, Turisas scores with a nice short uppercut. Xu tries for a takedown but Turisas manages to get underhooks.
Turisas digs a right hand into Xu's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Xu's gas tank. A nice glancing elbow lands by Xu. Xu has Turisas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Turisas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Turisas prevents a takedown attempt there.
Xu can't get the takedown.
Xu pushes off an throws an elbow but Turisas leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Xu breaks from the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turisas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Xu swats him away and circles back towards the center. Xu feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Turisas's calf. Turisas wants to clinch up but Xu keeps it at a distance. Xu throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Turisas crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ham Xu!
