PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Four Loko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Descharme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Loko comes to the cage accompanied by Loco for them Lokos. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jean Descharme was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Four Loko!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Descharme!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Descharme fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Loko manages to avoid it.
Descharme misses with a kick to the body
and Loko counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A head kick misses from Loko.
Loko looks to land a combination. Descharme sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A looping hook to the body misses from Loko. Descharme does a little dance to reset his feet.
Loko pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Descharme throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Loko.
Descharme takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Loko blocks a head kick by Descharme.
Loko takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Descharme shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Loko with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Descharme to score with a decent uppercut.

and Loko counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jean Descharme seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Descharme tries to score a power double leg takedown but Loko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Descharme somewhat.
That kick from Loko tenderised Descharme's leg. Descharme is trying to keep his angry face on.

Loko feints and then cracks Descharme's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Descharme down.
Loko throws a sloppy head kick and Descharme moves out of range easily.

Descharme looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Descharme throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Loko works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Loko managing to control the position.
Descharme is standing up over Loko. Loko looks to escape but Descharme dives into side control.
Descharme working the head and body with strikes.
The strikes coming from Descharme are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Loko gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Loko slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Descharme trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Descharme with a flurry of punches that miss.
Descharme content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Descharme's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Descharme must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Descharme sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Loko's guard.
Descharme is nestled in close to Loko, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Descharme is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Loko wants to get back to his feet.

Loko looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Descharme works his way into full mount!
Descharme lands a big shot there that rocks Loko but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Descharme looking to finish Loko with some ground and pound. This is bad for Loko!
Descharme landing punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Loko tries to hold on but Descharme pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Loko is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Loko is working to get back to half guard.
Loko is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Loko wants to hold on but Descharme pushes him away.
Descharme fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

A nice elbow there by Descharme.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Loko working to try and regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jean Descharme dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


The fighters circling - Loko throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Descharme is looking to chop away at Loko's legs.
Loko has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Descharme.
Some bone on bone action there as Loko checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Loko moves away from the strike by Descharme.
Descharme connects with the punch.
Descharme throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Descharme throws a hook but Loko blocks it.

Descharme fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Loko sprawls well initially but Descharme persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Loko is looking to escape.

Descharme is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Loko doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Descharme.
Loko is trying to stand up here but Descharme is controlling him well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Descharme is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Descharme seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Loko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Descharme goes for a cartwheel guard pass here but Loko does a handstand and catches Descharme in mid air with a triangle! Could it be? It is! It's the triple decker pecker wrecker! The fighters land on the ground with Loko on top - Descharme is already out from the submission! Loko gives Descharme's pecker the obligatory post submission twist and this one is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall over! Are you kidding me! That is world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. That guy is my hero!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (TDPW) . Four Loko!
Four Loko is the new welterweight champion!
A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Four Loko made sure he mentioned Ace of Spades Clothing, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
