Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Jaa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, John Smith! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith throws a low kick but Jaa avoids it. Smith takes one to the side of the head.
It looks like John Smith has been cut. Jaa lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Jaa wants to land a leg kick but Smith is out of range. Jaa wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance. Jaa feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Smith's calf. Jaa tries a head kick but it misses.
Smith throws a leg kick but Jaa sees it coming and checks it nicely. Jaa instigates a clinch. Smith tries to pull guard but Jaa forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Jaa breaks from the clinch.
Smith wants to clinch up but Jaa keeps it at a distance. Smith misses with the combination.
Jaa tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Smith lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jaa has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jaa and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Jaa throws a leg kick which misses Smith's front leg but catches the back leg as Smith tries to avoid it. Jaa moves into range and clinches up with Smith. Jaa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaa is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jaa was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith. Smith swings for the body but Jaa moves out of range.
Jaa instigates a clinch. Nice elbow from Jaa. The referee is keeping an eye on Jaa - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Jaa manages to break the clinch.
Smith looks to land a combination but Jaa avoids it well. Jaa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Smith swats away the attempt to clinch by Jaa. Smith is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jaa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jaa scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Smith doesn't seem bothered though. Smith throws a right hand that Jaa ducks under and follows up with a left that Jaa also avoids with ease. Smith looks winded! Jaa fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Smith. A punch combination from Jaa misses. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smith throws a series of punches but Jaa moves out of range. Jaa looks to land a combination but Smith avoids it well. Jaa slips a jab and a cross from Smith.

Jaa's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Jaa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jaa closes the distance and clinches. Jaa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jaa lands a jab-cross combination. Jaa tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it. Smith thows a body shot but no joy. Jaa scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Jaa closes the distance and clinches. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jaa landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Smith throws a combination that misses and Jaa counters by moving into the clinch. Jaa has Smith pressed against the cage.
Jaa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A big right from Smith misses. Jaa checks the leg kick. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jaa scores with a one two! Smith had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Jaa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jaa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Smith.

Tony Jaa dominated that round. The cut man is working on John Smith's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Jaa fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Smith looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Jaa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tony Jaa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jaa clinches up with Smith and pushes him back against the cage. Jaa crunches a lovely knee into Smith's ribcage. Smith is trying to drag Jaa to the mat but Jaa just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Jaa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jaa tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it. Jaa uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Smith has time to react. Jaa with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Smith misses with a wild body shot. Smith is breathing heavily. Jaa keeps the fight on the outside. Jaa wants to clinch. Smith takes one to the chin there.

Smith fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jaa. Jaa moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off. Smith keeps the fight on the outside. An inside leg kick from Smith misses. Jaa moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off. Jaa connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jaa stalks Smith and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Smith's face. Smith staggers backwards, shaken. Jaa tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot. Jaa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smith wants to clinch. Jaa lands a jab to Smith's midsection.

Jaa uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smith misses with a wild combination.

Jaa tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Smith's elbow. Smith jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jaa walks away with a smile on his face. Smith gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jaa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Smith is looking to control Jaa's arms but Jaa gets an underhook and turns him. Now Smith has his back to the cage. Jaa lands a knee to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Tony Jaa showed his dominance in that final round. Well Jaa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
