Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Plo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Plo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. ISIS - Grinning Mouths kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ralph Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Plo with that takedown attempt.
Plo keeps Gracie at a distance using the push kick.
Gracie swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Plo.
Gracie slips under a jab.
Plo missing with a left hand there. Gracie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Patrick Plo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A low kick from Gracie is predictable there
and Plo counters with a right hand to the body.
Plo throws a chopping leg kick but Gracie manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Plo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Plo misses with a looping left.
Plo jabs Gracie right on the nose. Gracie blinks but takes it well.
Gracie takes a swing at Plo's ribcage but misses.
Plo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Gracie takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Plo connects with a right hand. Gracie shakes it off.
Plo missing with a left hand there. Gracie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Plo scores with a hook.
Plo throws a big shot that misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gracie darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Gracie takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Plo misses with a shot to the body
and Gracie counters with a nice low kick that buckles Plo's knee momentarily.
Plo thuds a left hand into Gracie's body.
Plo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gracie under the eye.
Plo misses with a body shot.
Gracie throws a leg kick which misses Plo's front leg but catches the back leg as Plo tries to avoid it.
Plo tries to work over Gracie's front leg with a kick but Gracie checks it.
Plo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gracie tried to score with a low kick but Plo checks it.
Plo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gracie pinned against the cage. Gracie gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Gracie is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Plo connects with a single shot there.
Plo just misses with a punch to the body.
Gracie throws a low kick, looking for Plo's leg but Plo calmly moves out of range.
Gracie steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Plo.
Gracie lands a nice hook to Plo's body. Plo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gracie connects with a crisp jab.
Plo lands with an overhand left.
Plo throws out a loose jab but Gracie uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gracie takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Gracie misses with a leg kick.
Plo on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Gracie takes a swing at Plo's ribcage but misses.
Plo tried to score with a low kick but Gracie checks it.
Plo cracks Gracie with an open hand slap.
Plo throws the left hand but Gracie avoids the punch easily.
Plo lands a nice hook to Gracie's body. Gracie takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gracie on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Gracie lands a big shot that drops Plo! Can he finish him?

Plo is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Plo wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.
Plo is still in real trouble! Can Gracie finish him?
Plo keeping full guard, as Gracie tries to pass.
Gracie is stalling in the full guard.
Gracie has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Gracie loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Plo wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.

Gracie postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gracie's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Plo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gracie moves into range and connects with a jab.
Plo throws a low kick but Gracie moves out of range easily.
Gracie finds Plo's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Plo flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Gracie lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Plo will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ralph Gracie!
