11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bob Ferdinand! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferdinand tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. St Pierre manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ferdinand blocks the body kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ferdinand landing shots from mount. Ferdinand wants to control the pace but St Pierre is squirming around nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ferdinand lands a nice shot to the head. St Pierre regains half guard. Ferdinand is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Ferdinand changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. St Pierre looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. St Pierre tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ferdinand wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Georges St Pierre has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bob Ferdinand is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ferdinand takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as St Pierre accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Bob Ferdinand. Well Ferdinand has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Bob Ferdinand! Bob Ferdinand decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
