Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Niko Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Gattuso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bronson comes to the cage accompanied by ACDC - If You Want Blood You Got It. Gattuso has chosen WAR-Low Rider as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson closes the distance and clinches.
Gattuso tries to work over Bronson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Bronson goes for a takedown attempt but Gattuso pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bronson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bronson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Gattuso misses with a low kick.
Nice takedown defense from Gattuso. No joy for Bronson on that attempt.
Bronson shoots in for a double leg but Gattuso sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Niko Bronson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bronson moves in looking to clinch but Gattuso pushes him off.

Niko Bronson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Bronson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gattuso manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Bronson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gattuso looks to throw the jab but Bronson is out of range.
Gattuso throws a half hearted mid kick.
Bronson ducks right into an uppercut from Gattuso.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Gattuso cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bronson shoots in but no luck this time.
Gattuso lands a glancing blow to the side of Bronson's head.
Horrible takedown by Bronson or perhaps it was just good defense by Gattuso which made him look bad.
Bronson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gattuso on his heels. He'll look to pass Gattuso's guard now, I'm sure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Javier Gattuso hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Gattuso throws a combination. Bronson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Bronson fails in his attempt to clinch.

Bronson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gattuso avoids it really well and circles away.
Gattuso scores with a sloppy right hand. Bronson should have avoided that one.
Gattuso slaps away a takedown attempt from Bronson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bronson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gattuso as he avoids it easily.

Bronson is breathing heavily.
Gattuso throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bronson on the side of the head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gattuso cracks Bronson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Gattuso has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bronson to stand back up!
Bronson is rocked!
Gattuso circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Bronson tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Gattuso wins by KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Javier Gattuso! Javier Gattuso retains his light heavyweight title!
Our winner, Javier Gattuso, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
