PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Paulsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Volka Brasehrava (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Paulsen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Wicker Man. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulsen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Paulsen throws a hook but Brasehrava blocks it.

Brasehrava shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brasehrava showed some decent athleticism there.
Brasehrava is keen to just control but Paulsen is a slippery customer.
Brasehrava not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Paulsen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Brasehrava.

Brasehrava is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Paulsen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brasehrava.
Brasehrava tries to pass the half guard into mount. Paulsen knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Brasehrava is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Paulsen wants to control but Brasehrava is keeping busy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nice sprawl there from Paulsen as Brasehrava shoots in.
Paulsen throws a looping overhand right but Brasehrava ducks down to avoid it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Brasehrava looks for the body kick but Paulsen saw that one coming.
Paulsen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brasehrava throws a push kick but Paulsen slaps the foot to one side.
Paulsen tries to bum rush Brasehrava with a series of wild strikes but Brasehrava uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No luck for Brasehrava with that takedown attempt.
Paulsen throws a big shot that misses.
Paulsen darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Paulsen smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Paulsen lands a nice looking body shot.
Volka Brasehrava seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brasehrava looks gassed!
Paulsen throws the left hand but Brasehrava avoids the punch easily.

Brasehrava avoids the body shot from Paulsen.
A combination from Brasehrava does no damage.
Paulsen cracks Brasehrava with a good jab.
Paulsen lunges at Brasehrava with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Brasehrava's hand.
Brasehrava throws the kick towards the body but Paulsen avoids it.
Brasehrava is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Paulsen fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Brasehrava to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Brasehrava looks to clinch but Paulsen throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Brasehrava taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
