Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rowdy Joel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Pikachoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rowdy Joel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Pikachoo!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pikachoo gets caught flat footed, as Joel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Joel stopping the sweep attempt from Pikachoo.
Pikachoo keeping full guard, as Joel tries to pass.
Pikachoo is pulling down on Joel's head. It's preventing any offense from Joel, at least for the moment.
Joel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pikachoo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. David Pikachoo was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Pikachoo closes the distance and pushes Joel back into the cage.
Joel blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. David Pikachoo wasn't active enough on the ground.

Joel gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pikachoo to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Pikachoo looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Joel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pikachoo defends well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Rowdy Joel will probably get the nod.

Joel tries to buck Pikachoo off but Pikachoo is having none of it.

Pikachoo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pikachoo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Joel takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Joel looks to move to half guard but instead Pikachoo has passed into mount! Damn!
Joel is looking to improve his position but Pikachoo isn't that keen on the idea.
Pikachoo fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


It looks like Rowdy Joel has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pikachoo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Joel is looking to escape.

The referee warns Joel that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Pikachoo is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Joel has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Pikachoo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Joel's face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Joel is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Joel is working hard here to advance position.

Pikachoo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Joel to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Joel shrugs it off.
Joel wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pikachoo looking to break Joel's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Joel remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Pikachoo will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Joel rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Pikachoo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

David Pikachoo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Joel's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Pikachoo stuns Joel with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Pikachoo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Joel's half guard.

Joel is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pikachoo pulls his head out easily.

Pikachoo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Joel defends it well.

Pikachoo in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Joel tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Pikachoo!
