Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Romeo Bellanca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bellanca comes into the arena with Nightmare - Avenged Sevenfold blaring out of the sound system. Jake Coleman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Romeo Bellanca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bellanca throws a hook but Coleman blocks it.
Bellanca tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Coleman was well out of range. Poor timing from Bellanca.

Bellanca rushes Coleman and presses him up against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Bellanca fails to land.
Bellanca prevents the takedown attempt.
Coleman tries to pull guard but Bellanca won't allow it.
Bellanca's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Bellanca lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Coleman backwards.

Coleman has picked Bellanca up - he's going for a ride! Coleman dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Bellanca looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Coleman prevents Bellanca from improving his position.
Bellanca is looking to control Coleman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bellanca avoid being mounted?
Coleman wants to take a breather but Bellanca is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Coleman winds up and cracks Bellanca with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bellanca gets full guard.
Coleman lands a couple of digs.

Bellanca working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Coleman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bellanca is tightening it up a little... Coleman has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Coleman reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Coleman taps out! Nice BJJ there by Bellanca!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Romeo Bellanca!
Romeo Bellanca spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
