Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Glenn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Madaras! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Madaras, right into the meat.
Glenn doesn't succeed with the takedown and Madaras counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Nice uppercut there from Madaras. A good leg kick by Madaras. Glenn with a poor takedown and Madaras counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Glenn gets the takedown into side control. Madaras is letting Glenn control him for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Glenn tries to move to mount but Madaras blocks the move with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Glenn is looking to take a break and control but Madaras is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Madaras is trying to control Glenn's posture but Glenn avoids it. Glenn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Madaras knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Madaras is looking to regain half guard here but Glenn keeps moving and retains side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Glenn working the body and head with strikes. Madaras prevents Glenn from moving into mount. Madaras is not content to let Glenn control the position. Glenn is really struggling to control Madaras but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glenn thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Glenn goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Madaras has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Glenn but great work by Madaras. Glenn tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Glenn is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Madaras off and has taken his back! Glenn looking to hold on to the position here but Madaras rolls and ends up regaining guard.

Madaras got a little sloppy there for a moment and Glenn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Madaras has managed to get both his arms back between Glenn's legs - danger averted. Madaras controlling from the top position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Glenn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Madaras misses with a wild body shot. Madaras pivots, looking for a leg kick but Glenn is out of range and Madaras settles back down. Madaras lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head kick misses from Madaras. Madaras fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Glenn.
That's one minute gone in the round. Glenn tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Madaras cracks a nice hook into Glenn's ribs. Glenn gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Madaras counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Madaras misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Glenn.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Madaras swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Glenn. Madaras thuds a left hand into Glenn's body. Glenn looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Madaras keeping full guard, as Glenn tries to pass. Robert Glenn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Glenn is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glenn wants to control from the top but Madaras keeps moving. Madaras not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Glenn trying to move into half guard but instead Madaras has managed to sweep! Glenn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Madaras gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Glenn is trying to control the position but Madaras postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Glenn is controlling Madaras's posture. Madaras tries to free his leg and advance position but Glenn is retaining full guard. Madaras looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Madaras advances to half guard. Glenn wants to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but David Madaras will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Glenn checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Glenn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Madaras connects with an inside leg kick. Madaras looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Glenn fails with the takedown and Madaras counters with a straight right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Glenn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Madaras! Madaras is desperately trying to improve his position but Glenn has a good base and remains in mount. Glenn tries to control but Madaras wriggling away. Glenn moves to back control. Glenn looking for the choke from the back. Madaras is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Glenn gets his way!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Madaras can't escape the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Madaras is in a bad position with Glenn working for a choke. Madaras manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment. Glenn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Madaras can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Madaras must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Glenn working for a triangle but Madaras defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glenn is looking for a triangle but Madaras pushes his legs off easily.

Madaras sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Glenn's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Glenn looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Madaras pushes past his half guard into mount! Glenn tries to hold on but Madaras pushes him away. Glenn is just holding on here. Madaras manages to take his back.
Madaras gets his hands free as Glenn looks to control. Madaras is trying to stick to Glenn's back but Glenn is turning into Madaras. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Madaras's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Glenn. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Glenn looking to pass the guard. Glenn drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Madaras dives on top into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Robert Glenn showed his dominance in that final round. I think Glenn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
