Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tom Araya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Araya might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Angel of Death. Parker is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Killswitch engage - This fire burns. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Araya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Parker! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Parker throws a wild body kick that Araya sees coming a mile off. Araya throws a right and a left that Parker avoids nicely. Araya throws a right hand that Parker ducks under and follows up with a left that Parker also avoids with ease. No joy there for Araya, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Parker counters with a two punch combo. Parker throws a hook to the side of Araya's head but Araya sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Araya scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Parker looks gassed! Araya misses with a combination
and Parker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Araya's guard. Araya is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Parker wants to control from the top but Araya keeps moving. Araya working a defensive guard here.
Araya looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker throws a strike but Araya rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Araya advances to half guard. Araya content to control rather than advance. Araya really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Parker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Araya controlling the action here. Parker is looking to control Araya's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Parker avoid being mounted? Araya is trying to control the action in half guard but Parker is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Araya is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Parker makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Parker. Parker throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Parker keeping moving, preventing Araya from controlling successfully. Araya is really struggling to control Parker but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Tom Araya just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Araya moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Araya tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Parker paws at him with a jab and circles away. Araya gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Parker tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Parker throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Tony Parker dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Araya clinches. Parker manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

A punch combination from Araya misses. Araya throws a series of strikes that have Parker backpedaling.
Parker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Araya darts in and clinches Parker up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parker keeps control of Araya as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Araya breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Araya tries to bum rush Parker with a series of wild strikes but Parker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Araya scores with a crisp jab that stopped Parker in his tracks. Araya checks a low kick from Parker.

Araya throws a right hand that Parker ducks under and follows up with a left that Parker also avoids with ease. Parker swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Araya cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Horrible takedown by Parker or perhaps it was just good defense by Araya which made him look bad. Parker is breathing heavily. Nice sprawl there from Araya as Parker shoots in. Parker dodges the punch combination from Araya.
Araya moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Araya lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Araya throws a nice looking combination but Parker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Araya closes the distance and clinches. Araya stalling the fight.

Tom Araya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Parker. Araya is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Araya lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Parker backwards. Araya just leaning against Parker, taking a breather. Parker tries to stall but Araya uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Parker swings wildly with an uppercut but Araya uses good head movement to avoid it. Araya avoiding damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Tom Araya. Araya has taken the fight to the clinch.
Parker works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Parker wants to control from the top but Araya keeps moving. Araya working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Parker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Parker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Parker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Araya is trying to control the position but Parker postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parker trying to control the position from guard on top but Araya is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Parker thows a big elbow that misses. Araya looking to control.
Araya has a closed guard, preventing Parker from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Parker tries to close the distance and clinch but Araya swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Araya dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Parker misses with a takedown attempt and Araya counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Parker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Araya paws at him with a jab and circles away. Araya fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Parker. Parker misses with a takedown and Araya counters with a left and a right that stings Parker. Araya throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Parker. Parker shoots in for a double leg but Araya sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tom Araya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Parker. Parker is looking to chop away at Araya's legs. Araya scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. A good leg kick by Araya. Araya fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Parker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A left and a right from Araya both land. Nice combination. Araya throws a right and a left that both miss. Araya lets loose with a powerful body kick. Parker will feel that in the morning.

Araya goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Araya moves into range and clinches up with Parker. Araya wants to stall.
Parker drops down looking for an ankle pick but Araya pulls his leg out and moves away.
Araya scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Araya throws a sloppy head kick and Parker moves out of range easily. Parker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Araya as he avoids it easily. Araya throws a right hand that Parker ducks under and follows up with a left that Parker also avoids with ease. Araya rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Parker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Araya throws a body kick that misses. Araya lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Parker backs up against the cage.
Araya connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Araya gets a clinch. Araya tries to stall but Parker uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Araya is working the combinations to good effect here. Parker is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Araya. Araya takes the fight into the clinch. Parker with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Parker is working for takedown but Araya is calmly controlling the position for now. Araya wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Araya will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Parker up against the cage.

Araya is looking to control Parker's arms but Parker gets an underhook and turns him. Now Araya has his back to the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Parker drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Araya gets the underhooks and prevents it.

And that's the end of the fight! Tom Araya showed his dominance in that final round. I think Araya has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
