Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pertti Peto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Volkov comes into the arena with The Trooper by Iron Maiden blaring out of the sound system. Peto is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sabaton - Talvisota . Vincent Volkov is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Volkov slips under a jab from Peto.
Volkov shoots in but no luck this time.
Peto lands a right hook to the body.
Volkov needs to keep his hands up - Peto had a free shot at his head there.
Volkov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Peto throws out the jab.
Peto tries a head kick but it misses.
Peto connects with an inside leg kick.
Peto jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Peto lands with a kick to the temple. Volkov shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Volkov throws a shot from downtown. Peto moves away and avoids it.
Pertti Peto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Volkov lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Volkov throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Volkov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Peto throws a nice inside leg kick.
Peto throws a leg kick but Volkov checks it.
A thudding body kick lands there by Peto!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Peto.
Volkov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Peto moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Volkov comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Volkov misses with a hook. Peto ducked under it nicely.
Volkov takes a swing at Peto's ribcage but misses.
Peto swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Peto will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Volkov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Volkov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Peto tries to avoid it but Volkov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Peto to the ground. Peto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vincent Volkov. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A looping hook to the body misses from Volkov. Peto does a little dance to reset his feet.
Volkov tries to land a front kick but Peto steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Peto checks a leg kick.
Peto tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A nice leg kick lands there from Peto.
A slapping leg kick lands for Peto.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Volkov. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Volkov takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Peto shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Volkov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Peto sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Volkov's guard.
Volkov is looking to improve his position.

Peto seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Peto is looking to work some ground and pound but Volkov has wrist control.

Peto pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Volkov swings widly with a right hand
and Peto counters with a three punch combo that has Volkov backing up. Volkov nods at Peto to acknowledge the strikes.
Volkov takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Peto gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Volkov.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Peto closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Volkov did well to prevent Peto getting side control.
Volkov is staying active underneath Peto, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Volkov wants to improve his position but Peto is controlling well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Peto with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Volkov to score with a decent uppercut.

Volkov is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Peto clobbers Volkov with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Peto tests Volkov's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Volkov dives in and grabs Peto's left leg, looking for a takedown. Peto pushes down on Volkov's head and hops out.

Peto seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Volkov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well Peto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
