Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michiel De Ruyter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeorge Johanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Ruyter comes to the cage accompanied by DJ KOOL. Johanson has chosen Ain't No Grave- Johnny Cash as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeorge Johanson! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johanson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. De Ruyter dips down and scores with a jab to the body. De Ruyter loads up on a big right hand but Johanson slips the punch. De Ruyter wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Johanson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

De Ruyter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. De Ruyter is trying to control. Johanson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Johanson trying to hold on to De Ruyter's head to control him but De Ruyter postures up.
Johanson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Ruyter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. De Ruyter thows a huge punch but Johanson dodges it nicely.

De Ruyter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The two fighters exchange a few words.
