Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Pedretti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gay Barr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Felipe Pedretti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gay Barr! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pedretti misses with a double jab
and Barr counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pedretti! Barr controlling from the full mount.
Barr looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Pedretti bucks up and throws Barr to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Pedretti gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Barr to score an easy takedown into full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Barr wants to control from the top but Pedretti keeps moving.

Barr gets to his feet. Pedretti looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Pedretti misses with a series of wild punches.

and Barr counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Barr fails with a takedown attempt. Barr lands a jab to Pedretti's midsection. Pedretti throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Barr. Left hook, right uppercut from Pedretti. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barr throws a right and a left that both miss. Pedretti misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Barr shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Barr showed some decent athleticism there. Pedretti is breathing heavily.

 The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Barr looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Barr trying to control the position but Pedretti is working away.
Barr is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pedretti has escaped the position, nice work there. Pedretti pushes Barr away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Barr gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pedretti being controlled for a moment. Let's hope that Barr has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Barr scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Barr trying to control the position but Pedretti is working away. Pedretti is trying to buck Barr off. A lull in the action here as Barr stalls from top position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Barr closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pedretti quickly recovers to half guard. Barr not landing any meaningful shots this time. Barr is keen to just control but Pedretti is a slippery customer. Gay Barr has got the better of the ground game so far. Barr trying to mount his opponent but Pedretti defends it. Pedretti might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Barr is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Barr connects with a nice short shot to Pedretti's temple.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Pedretti wants to get back to his feet.

Barr decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barr tries to clinch but Pedretti moves out of range.
Barr shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pedretti is trying to defend but Barr finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Barr is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Barr passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Pedretti! Barr scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Pedretti?

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Barr breaks from Pedretti's wrist control and lands an elbow. Barr lands a big elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barr is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pedretti is surviving well by controlling Barr's body position as best he can. Barr with good strikes from the mount here! And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Gay Barr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Barr.
Barr has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Pedretti is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Barr yanks on the arm and Pedretti is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Barr.
