Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helio Fialho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Hontai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jordan Hontai has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Helio Fialho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Hontai! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fialho drives through with a takedown into guard. Fialho throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hontai works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fialho stopping the sweep attempt from Hontai. Fialho wants to stand but Hontai is controlling his posture from full guard. Fialho tries to free his leg and advance position but Hontai is retaining full guard. Fialho wants to control from the top but Hontai keeps moving. Fialho trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hontai bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fialho's guard. Fialho has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hontai can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hontai is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hontai won't allow Fialho to sweep him here. Hontai trying to control the position from guard on top but Fialho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hontai wants to get up but he can't break Fialho's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Hontai trying to control the position from guard on top but Fialho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jordan Hontai. Fialho decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Hontai gets back to full guard.

Fialho advances position into side control! Hontai is trying to control Fialho's posture but Fialho avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hontai is trying to get back to his feet. Fialho tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fialho has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hontai is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Fialho off and has taken his back! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fialho turns into Hontai and is now in his guard.
Fialho is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Fialho is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hontai is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hontai has escaped and now he's on top! Fialho is breathing heavily. Hontai controlling from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hontai distracts Fialho with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hontai wants to control from the top but Fialho keeps moving. Hontai avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Helio Fialho will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Hontai gets the takedown into side control. Fialho sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Fialho is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hontai pulls his head out easily. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hontai in particular looking to stall. Hontai thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fialho's head. Hontai frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hontai punishing his opponent with strikes. Fialho sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Fialho is looking for a sweep. Hontai is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fialho looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Well, if Hontai is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hontai trying to control from half guard but Fialho is working away. Still in half guard, Hontai seems content to control. Fialho is trying to maintain the position but Hontai is very close to passing his half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Fialho is looking for a sweep. Hontai is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hontai takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jordan Hontai hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hontai tries to clinch up. Fialho shoots in and drives through. Hontai sprawls well. Hontai closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fialho to the mat! Fialho manages to get full guard. Hontai is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hontai got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fialho has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hontai has managed to get both his arms back between Fialho's legs - danger averted. Fialho escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hontai gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hontai not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fialho throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Fialho working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hontai has passed into half guard!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hontai has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hontai takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Fialho might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hontai prevents Fialho from getting the reversal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hontai with shots to the head and body - Fialho looks very uncomfortable down there. Fialho is trying to escape the mount.
Fialho wants to control but Hontai is having none of it. Hontai unloading with bombs! Fialho is trying desperately to improve position. Fialho is bucking up trying to escape but Hontai cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fialho is squirming around, avoiding Hontai's attempts to control the action. Hontai controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jordan Hontai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Hontai tries to clinch up. Hontai tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fialho paws at him with a jab and circles away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fialho is defended easily by Hontai. A jab from Fialho misses. Fialho feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hontai wants to stand up but Fialho is controlling him. Hontai working for a triangle but Fialho defends it easily.
Fialho wants to pass the guard but Hontai is keeping the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fialho being controlled here momentarily. Jordan Hontai has got the better of the ground game so far. Hontai slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fialho's guard. Fialho is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hontai is aware though and is defending well.

Fialho is fighting to maintain full guard but Hontai has managed to sneak the leg through. Hontai maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Fialho could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Hontai has cracked it and Fialho is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Hontai!
