Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Octavio Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Ideluca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Octavio Vargas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Ideluca! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Vargas looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Vargas throws a sloppy head kick and Ideluca moves out of range easily. Vargas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ideluca.
Ideluca feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ideluca looking to pass the guard. Vargas is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ideluca trying to control the position from guard on top but Vargas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ideluca is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Ideluca wants to stand but Vargas has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Tony Ideluca has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Vargas works over Ideluca's head and body with a nice combination. Vargas dives in and grabs Ideluca's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ideluca pushes down on Vargas's head and hops out. Ideluca displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vargas. A head kick by Ideluca misses and Vargas counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Ideluca using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Vargas has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Ideluca misses with a knee to the head. Vargas keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ideluca's efforts to push away. Vargas taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Vargas jumps guard but Ideluca turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Octavio Vargas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vargas jumps guard.
Ideluca stands and steps away. Vargas gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vargas circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vargas fails miserably with a takedown attempt. This has been an exciting period of action! Ideluca tries for a takedown but Vargas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ideluca drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Ideluca looking to pass the guard. Ideluca trying to move into half guard but instead Vargas has managed to sweep! Ideluca looking for a sweep. Not yet Ideluca, not yet. Ideluca bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vargas's guard. Vargas keeping moving, preventing Ideluca from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vargas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ideluca trying to control but Vargas is working from the bottom. Vargas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Vargas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Vargas is breathing heavily. Ideluca stops Vargas from standing up. Ideluca throwing strikes but missing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vargas controlling the position. Ideluca missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ideluca slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Tony Ideluca hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Ideluca tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ideluca displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vargas. Vargas moves out of range as Ideluca throws a body kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ideluca misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Ideluca dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Vargas blocks a head kick by Ideluca.
Horrible takedown by Vargas or perhaps it was just good defense by Ideluca which made him look bad. Ideluca closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vargas quickly recovers to half guard. Vargas is trying to stand.
Ideluca takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Ideluca not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ideluca throwing shots but Vargas is blocking nicely. Vargas wants to control but Ideluca is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ideluca keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Vargas looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ideluca is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Tony Ideluca has got the better of the ground game so far. Ideluca is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Vargas is trying to control but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ideluca prevents Vargas from improving his position. Vargas has hold of Ideluca's hands but Ideluca slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Vargas is looking to escape. Vargas on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Vargas is not content to let Ideluca control the position. Ideluca seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vargas is looking to improve his position.
Ideluca decides to return to a standing position. Vargas scores with a head kick.
Ideluca fails with a takedown attempt. Vargas misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ideluca misses with a takedown attempt - Vargas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ideluca tries to clinch there but Vargas circles away.
Ideluca shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Vargas manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Ideluca wants to control from the top but Vargas keeps moving. Vargas controls Ideluca momentarily but Ideluca frees himself. Vargas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ideluca doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ideluca manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ideluca preventing the sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Ideluca showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Ideluca wants to clinch. Vargas tries to close the distance and clinch but Ideluca swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Vargas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ideluca moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ideluca shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ideluca showed some decent athleticism there. Ideluca trying to control the action but Vargas is working from the bottom. Vargas makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Vargas. Vargas trying to strike off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ideluca wants to control from the top but Vargas keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tony Ideluca. Ideluca looking to score a takedown here. Vargas is defending well but Ideluca drives through and ends up in Vargas's guard. Vargas is looking to stand up but Ideluca isn't so interested in that idea. Ideluca stands up from Vargas's guard - Ideluca perhaps looking for a knockout. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ideluca throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Vargas closes the distance and pushes Ideluca back into the cage. Vargas breaks the clinch.
Vargas fails with the takedown and Ideluca counters with a single leg into guard. Vargas didn't expect that. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ideluca stops Vargas from standing up. Vargas is trying to keep Ideluca in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ideluca is stalling in the full guard. Tony Ideluca is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tony Ideluca. Ideluca tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Vargas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ideluca shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Ideluca looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Ideluca is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Vargas is trying is best to control the position here. Octavio Vargas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vargas is trying to stand.
